Remember the now infamous quote from American Gen. Mark Milley that Russia will take Ukraine in a matter of days that has now been falsely credited to Russia? That was the plan by NATO, so Russia would get bogged down whilst losing most of its military assets and depleting its main forces.

But Putin just decided that Bleep that - it’s better to lure Ukraine out and destroy all their forces in a meat grinder with Wagner while Russian forces are kept intact. Then fight the economic and geopolitical war concurrently whilst forming a new alliance led by China.
