This is a landmark judgement for the EFCC, kudos to the judges in Awka federal high court . Please the federal high court in lagos , ikoyi division should by this judgement look into suite no FHC/L/CS/270/2021 before his lordship AYOKUNLE OLAYINKA FAJI. The applicants in the suite committed fraud and forgery, petition was written against them to IGP who instructed the case Tobe investigated. Police invited them for investigation, but instead of honoring the police invitation, they rush to Federal high court ikoyi for enforcement of fundamental human right saying the police should not arrest, investigate or prosecute them. His lordship has been foot dragging this case for two years now without ruling on the case. P

I think the court erred on this. They should appeal the decision. Look o, I think this matter was like ironed out sometime ago... somebody should help us with correct information... I wouldn't want to misfire.

I like what effc is doing but the petitioners have a case in my opinion. The effc act is faulty in many areas causing state fund to end up in federal coffers when corruption cases are successfully prosecuted.

We hope the 10th NASS would look into it.

Federalism is Federalism.
State governments can't be subordinated to the federal government through its agencies in the name of fighting corruption.

What this judgement means is that anyone in Abuja who doesn't like someone in a State government will use Efcc to witch hunt such persons.
Also, state Governors can't be said to have immunity in the real sense if their aids and appointees are always going to Abuja to respond to one spurious allegation all the time.

Hopefully the supreme court will give the right interpretation.
By virtue of the 1999 constitution, the federal government is already too powerful....

Let's ask the States Govt:
1- do they reject the Quarterly Allocation Funds from the Federal Govt?
2- have the State Govt been making Returns on the Money collected or spent?
3- Can they explained the Budgets they claimed to Present to their Assemblies, without padding?
4- Can they claimed to have used the Resources judiciously and unbehalf of the Masses they represent?
5- why hiding from Truth?
This same doses by Efcc- should extend to ALL the States in Nigeria so that the hapless Masses can breathe!

If that is the case, EFCC do not have to power to investigate anyone even yahoo boys, since they are under a state too.

When them go ever probe Lagos account?
