Why we won’t help some ailing actors – TAMPAN President, Mr Latin

President of the Theatre Arts and Movies Production Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Bolaji Amusan, popularly called Mr. Latin has revealed why the group won’t help some ailing actors in the movie industry.

Revealing that the association has spent more than N10 million on health issues facing actors, Mr Latin stated that it is always ready to help. makesense pm reports,

Speaking during his recent interview on 32FM in Ibadan, Mr Latin claimed that the association is unable to assist some of their ailing members because they are inactive.

He explained that these ailing actors are most of the time out of shame, and don’t ask TAMPAN for help but rather go on the internet, radio or television to seek help because they know they were not active members, hence the group was unable to assist them.


“We always come to the aid of all active members. Since I became the TAMPAN President, we have spent more than N10 million on the actors’ health challenges.

“The ones you see going on radio or TV to beg for money are not active members of the association.”

Someone says the association is set up to help active members, meaning that if you choose not to be part of the organization before you got ill or sick, there is no way the organization can come and rescue you or assist you simply because you have chosen to stop every form of relationship with the organization.

It’s a normal procedure everywhere , so it’s understandable.
If u want help or support from any organization or platform, u have to be recognized, active and support the group too.
