Fun fact, Txiki and Soriano had left Barca for 2 full years prior to going to City. Any other team could have got them- they did not.

After Mahrez' PFA season, he stayed for another 2 seasons in Leicester and no other team went for him.

Same goes for 4th CB choice Akanji, Aké (that Chelsea fans never wanted back even on this thread). City went for Diaz after Koulibaly, Maguire, Kounde did not come.

City went for Rodri after Jorginho, Fred and FDJ did not come.

Alvarez had broken out age 20 in Argentina and would have been 6M but nobody went for him.
