Nigerian afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, aka Davido, has said marrying his wife, Chioma, was the best decision he ever made.

Recall that Davido announced a few months ago that he married his longtime girlfriend, Chioma Rowland, shortly after the death of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who drowned in a swimming pool at the singer’s Banana Island mansion last October.

In a recent interview with Beat 105.3 FM, Atlanta, he said he met his wife in his first year at Babcock University. makesense pm reports,

He said they are a “perfect match,” adding that he has known her for almost 20 years.


Davido said: “Me and my wife [Chioma] grew up together and went to school together. We met in school. We are just so used to each other. She is like a part of me. You definitely have to get somebody that understands you. Me and my wife, we are just perfect; there is nothing that she does crazy. It’s just a good match.

30. What School did Chioma attend and what state was she 20 years ago? He said 8 years before.

I think he meant that they were childhood friends that re-united in college.

It doesn't matter if Davido lied about the number of years he had known his wife. The most important thing is that he made the best decision by marrying her, and he is happy he made the decision.

What if the blogger lied? I don't see Chioma as a woman who can do such things.
Don't believe everything you read on blogs because majority of the stories are cooked to attract traffic.
My observation of this interview is the contradiction between the one he granted last October, when he said he had known his wife for 7 years, met her through his friend Lati, and they officially started dating around 5–6 years ago (as at when he granted the interview last year). That aside, let's wish them well and be happy for them. He married a beautiful woman and I am sure he is proud to be.

You met her in her first year in university, you understand yourself so much and you can not encourage her to finish her studies, why dropping out at year three because of you. What kind of love and understanding is this one day you will useless her on national TV the same way Tuface useless his wife the other day
