First Professor of Geology IN AFRICA ! When we tell those loudmouthed,village dwelling ,hate filled primitive people from Alaigbo that Yoruba people are several thousands of miles ahead of them,they always think it's an exaggeration ! Yoruba are not competing with anybody,progress and development are naturally well embedded in our DNA !

Na Naija dey slow Yoruba people down,IDAN people for don go far ahead of even many European nations ! This is a fact,after all, the old Western Region got Television station,Standard Olympic Stadium,Network of Asphalted Roads,etc ahead of many of today's European countries ! This is why I sometimes laugh whenever these village dwellers from across River Niger try to compare themselves with the great OMOALADEs ! We no be your great grandfathers mate,walahi ! Just type FIRST in Nigeria or Africa and see the wonders of Yoruba people of western Nigeria ! No be by mouth o o o,Chinedu !

I think he's also the first Chairman of Guaranty Trust Bank one of the leading in Nigeria and perhaps, Africa.

oga take it easy please, am also a Yoruba and a Geologist from UI... The man is the first black Professor in Geology.. Not the first African Professor in Geology.. The first African professors in Geology are white South Africans.. Afrikaneers... Mining has been their way of life since the days of boers there.. The title is grossly misleading.
