Nigerians got 34k study visa approx and brought 32k approx dependants.

The thing is this, the UK govt is in a dilemma. They can't ban dependents for long because they also make a huge money from the visas, travels and everything related to the dependents' migration.
Those dependents also contribute to the UK economy in no small amount. They just want to stem the tide for a while. That's all... They can't afford to lose out on the money they realise from it.

Such ban won't last.

In the long run, it is good for the people in the UK. Most of the people that migrate are doing a low skilled job like Care jobs. The care job is over saturated and the job is no more going round and there are bills to pay every month.
