Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves 7.5/10

Perhaps, I've been starved for a good fantasy show because this movie didn't really do anything special in the fantasy genre but I enjoyed it like it was something new and fresh.

They lined up a decent cast who played mostly to type. Charismatic Chris Pine in a fantasy setting, badass Michelle Rodriguez in a fantasy setting, dorky Justice Smith in a fantasy setting, Regé-Jean Page just being cool in a fantasy setting and smooth talking Hugh Grant in a fantasy setting.
The visuals, scenery and set designs are a treat for the eyes. The action scenes are very entertaining.

There's not much of any world building here and the plot is pretty simple and straightforward. Like I said in the beginning, it doesn't really do anything new or different. But it's definitely a very entertaining 2 hours.

JW films keeps increasing the box office gross and profits on each installment and they think they'd stop when there's no Hunger Games or Twilight Saga. Na go chop John Wick tire. Shebi Ana De Armas' "Ballerina" dey come next year. 😂😂

John Wick 4-

Video game universe. I felt like I was watching a live action video game, complete with the mission based objectives, indestructible hero and hordes of villains squirming out of every dark corner. The fantastic ammo mayhem room to room aerial shots at a house, as well as the moment he got kicked back down the stairs after almost making it to the top cemented the vivid similarities.

This movie is not without its obvious flaws. Like why does every two-bit punk on the street think they can take on the Baba Yega himself where other highly trained assassins have failed, no matter how big the bounty on his head? And although the battles scenes are very impressive, some of the long drawn out scenes become tedious after a while. I couldn't also help notice in some scenes where the stuntmen had to hold back while Keeanu got into position, or sometimes just threw themselves into the mayhem without any strategy. It is like self preservation does not exist in this universe. Then again, what's up with Wick appearing in different continents without any visible mode of transport?

Anyway, make we no tink am too much. The acting, music, absolutely captivating and relentless fighting sequences has made this installment a befitting sequel to Parabellum. I was thinking "now this is how an action hero should be like. Not all these emasculated male characters Hollywood is churning out daily."

This movie is very entertaining and has earned its place in my 'Never Delete' movies folder.

The big problem is that John Wick movies have been known to have more spectacle and become less realistic as the movies progress...
