Godswill Akpabio set very high standards for Akwa-Ibom in the area of road networks, and his predecessor has taken up the challenge.

The state is surrounded by bad roads with makes export from the state difficult,

Investors wouldn't love to invest in such environment

The only thing keeping Lagos on top is the sea port

Invest in people, develop people. That's what we need not only infrastructure. Build your people to do the jobs expatriates are brought to do. Equip them with skills so they can make money and live a good life.

Do you know how much they earn even as caregiver. First of all its not all of them that do casework forever. A lot progress to their previous career, once they get the required education necessary. The care work is just temporal fo some. And even if others only do care work, so far you're hardworking you can save enough to invest in Nigeria, give your children access to better education abroad and ultimately citizenship. So for some the casework is a sacrifice for their kids should they fail to be able to go back to white collar jobs.

The people.scattered all over doing house help need good roads to travel to market to buy foodstuffs .... good roads to travel to buy kerosene or gas .... or to fetch firewood ... to bring goods to market and for relatives from out of state to get to their homes instead of hacking their way through bush. You living in wherever with people not scattered ... in I face you you slap me conditions need no roads to travel ..... everything in one big pile.

@ topic... the road is fine .... but wondering if they will clean the drains regularly..... looks like it will collect much silt.
