He did it at the right time. No better time to do it.

No fuel subsidy in 2023 budget from June.

I think its a good development that fuel subsidy will officially end in june, provided all mobilitilies especially in the aspect of funds are put to judicious use. However, credit should be given to whom it is due. While the newly innaugurated president may have announced the news, the modalities that enabled the remover are the efforts of the now 'newly exed' president.
