It shows how this tenure will be, u never spend 2 seconds as president, u just announce subsidy removal.

What is the plan to cushion the effect on the common man? No plan.
His friends, the rich were already prepared.
It you(not me) that'll suffer it.

None of the three frontline candidates in the last election meant to keep PMS subsidy. So this is a welcome development. It won't be easy, but it is necessary. I'm obidient, and I support this policy.

How does the fact that "None of the three frontline candidates in the last election meant to keep PMS subsidy", justify the removal of subsidy?

Can you tell me how much percentage of the subsidy has government been paying all this while?

Previous govts have at inevtime or the other removed subsidy. How much percentage was removed from the subsidy and how much was left to be removed?

What is the percentage of subsidy has been finally removed?

The savings accruing from this removal
will still be embezzled by the APC politicians
and they will still borrow money for
projects and salary...

PDP dey chop money, but they undertake
solid projects..

See Minister for FCt, for 8 years, no project
apart from demolishing people's property❗️❗️

Vague as usual.
How much is a liter of petrol getting to Nigeria.
Without subsidy how much should a liter cost?
What steps are being taken to completely remove the monopoly of corrupt importation regime of NNPC and allowed all major oil importers flood the market with product?
What palliative, will the government bring up?
So many questions begging for answers

N400b is used to pay PMS subsidy every month. That's about 50% of government's revenue per year. On top of that the policy is riddled with corruption and what not. I used to be opposed to it, but I welcome it now. Let's ditch it and move on please.

At the end of the day, petrol is a business, and subsidy crucially limits the profit motive in that business...which leads to corruption, stealing and wasteage.

For over 10 years now, I have said , and will say...oil subsidy must go.

That was a statement of intent. The devil is in the execution details. What measures have you put in place to checkmate hoarding by marketers? What arrangements have you made to ensure that the product is adequately supplied and available.

People are willing to buy without standing in queue for a whole day. Tinubu made that pronouncement without thinking about the immediate implications

It wasn't just bad people...it was most Nigerians.

People like me whose eyes were opened then, even though I did not support GEJ, could not openly say that subsidy had to go.

Even now that subsidy removal has the backing of the law , a law passed a long time ago, Nigerians would still rise up...because many Nigerians prefer cheap fuel...
