You are ignoring the ultra-good portions and concentrating on coachable elements. He 22. Extremely malleable at this age. If Poch wants him to sit to earn a place in the team, he will sit.

You are talking of a 6-foot, combative midfielder, who has an engine the size of Kante's at the least, with an unusual ability to read passing lanes intelligently, and cut passes off before they happen. Those abilities in one single player don't come around often. Especially when it is apparent at 22. I will take that off the market first, then coach the less desirable off him.

I have been studying Poch's tactics lately, and understood why Poch needed a Declan Rice. I can imagine Rice's either going to Arsenal or we've been quoted first price of over £100m - cash upfront. Unfortunately this is not going to happen.

Poch's tactical set-up is why I started to realise that Ugarte is the ideal player for how Poch wants to play. If I am correct, Ugarte will tuck in behind two CBs as an auxiliary CB in attacking transitions, allowing James/Chilly, Gusto/Cucu/Maatsen to bomb forward, providing the width, and allowing the 4-2-3-1 attacking shape to morph into a 3-4-3/3-5-2 formation.

Also, Poch is a top manager at moulding young players, so I cannot see anything but a success of this transfer target if he joins.
