We'll see what will happen with time. The states especially would breathe a sigh of relief. They were really struggling to meet their debt obligations, pay salaries on time, and implement their budget. With the subsidy gone, that would mean they get to share an extra N400bn which would mean a lot to the new admins, civil servants and pensioners in particular who have had their salaries delayed or not been paid at all sometimes running Into months.
I read somewhere this morning that PMS prices might double soon in Benin Republic 🇧🇯.
Benin have been having relatively cheap fuel compared to Ghana, Mali, and others grin.

Nigeria have more household paying electricity bill than Kenya.

Electricity company in Nigeria makes more money than Kenya.

There are more metered household in Nigeria than Kenya.

Nigeria consume more electricity than Kenya.

Nigeria Generate more electricity than Kenya.

These are not opinions, there are FACTS!!
there are more metered houses in Nigeria than Kenya? Base on total population or percentage?

Here in my state bayelsa, I can literally count the numbers of metered houses, I'm not sure it's even up to 1,000 metered household, so let's not lie to ourselves here or there a lot of metered houses in Lagos?

You mean 4 to 8 trillion so each states will get additional 100 to 200B.The stupid subsidy was 12 billion dollars. This will huge boost for them. Now give each state power to fix electricity challenges.
I mean N400bn extra from the N600bn-800bn they usually got to share.

Nigeria been subsidising all its neighbours at expense of security, education n basic infrastructure.Few car owning Nigerians will cry but they will get used to it.Majority of Nigeria can't afford cars

Evidence. Kenya has 10.5m metered customers. NIGERIA n Ghana 4M.SOUTH Africa 17m.
Lol. Mad fellow.

Kenya has only 8 Million household connected to electricity, out of that number less than 50% is metered, giving you about 4 million metered customer.

Nigeria has 11.06 Million Household connected to electricity, of which 46.3% are metered. which means Nigeria has 5.13 million metered customer.

Salaries delayed one 1 week in just one month of April because Ruto administration is refusing to borrow like a drunken sailor we had. Or PRINT MONEY LIKE BUHARI - which has caused inflation in Nigeria (now Naira is 650 to a dollar :: - PAYING THE PRICE)

If Nigeria is to change - you need to execute PAINFUL PAINFUL reforms.

Already you petrol prices have gone up from 180 Naira to now 600 NAIRA.

Now that is THE PAIN to move from a Zoo to functional country.

If TINUBU is half as serious as Ruto there will be a lot of painful reforms that will be required to fix the ZOO!!!!!!

Almost every Nigeria has made illegal electricity connection - you MORONS in the ZOO expect somehow the electricity company will RUN on AIR?
Please, Tinubu and Ruto should not be described in the same breath.

Ruto is a clown, who only knows how to speak big English just like the Ghana President, he has nothing upstairs.

Since he became president, all his decision has been a disaster, most kenyan's with working brains are already cussing him out everyday.

Of course, what do you expect.

The prices of a product is 164 in Nigeria, and same product is selling for above 500 in Neighboring Benin and you expect the market no to take advantage of that? That's wishful thinking.

I can tell you for a fact that around 40-50% of Subsidized PMS is not sold in nigeria.

There are 774 LGAs. Yes, Oil producing states receive 13% derivation from oil revenues as a result they are more financially buoyant than other non-oil-producing states.

If you factor in landing costs and logistics I think it's cost reflective. It's a small country and they have a very efficient port in Cotonou (Lagos has the lowest Petrol prices now because of its proximity to its port, storage, and logistics services, while Borno and Sokoto have the highest cost because of the aforementioned reasons).

I said it.

Translation:

The new President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has taken the decision to no longer subsidize the purchase of petroleum products. This measure will result in an increase in the price of contraband gasoline called "Kpayo" in Benin in the days to come.

I have been involved in cross border maize trade.Stop cheap insult. Its only recently that likes of kenya seeds have open branches in your backwater to sell hybrid seeds.Ask any kenya miller if they accept your maize on good day.Kenya normally produces 35m bags of maize with deficit of 10m bags. Kenya has Africa largest dairy sector with huge demand for animal feed. Most of your poor quality aflatoxin maize is not fit for animal feeds leave alone humans. Kenyans love ugali so much they can tell your poor maize.I told you i use to drive to kenya when i run out maize flour. No way I can eat Uganda maize flour.
it's not only maize which we feed you TZ is selling to kenya almost every foodstuff just because u fellaz are lazy to grow food.
Instead of humbling yourselves, you decided to have a fake pride and talk about aflotoxins so that you can hide your laziness.
Aflotoxins don't come from certain type of maize, but it's about drying issues

What is shocking, you Kenyans love to sit around discussing about Tanzania. You really fear TZ, and its too late for u to try halt the rising of a big superpower called United republic

You don't discuss about Ethiopia, Sudan or Uganda, but it's only Tanzania which is in your mouths. Tanzania Tanzania Tanzania

What is the difference in quality between TZ maize and yours? Remember, the maize sold in kenya is mostly sourced from TZTZ.

Sometimes you need to think before you talk
