FG Meets NLC On Petrol Subsidy Crisis by nairalandkachy1(op): 5:00pm On Jun 04, 2023
A Federal Government delegation will meet with representatives of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) at the presidential villa, Abuja, at 4pm today, over the petrol subsidy removal.

The meeting comes five days after a first meeting on the same issue, ended in a deadlock.

During his inauguration speech, President Bola Tinubu had said “petrol subsidy is gone”.

The president’s pronouncement immediately led to a resurfacing of long queues at gas stations and a hike in the pump price of the product across the country.

Revert to the old price and come to the negotiating table or we go on strike

Bola Tinubu protested against fuel subsidy removal in 2014 during Goodluck Jonathan PDP government. Why go back to his vomit now?

Tinubu must be really stupid to think he can just wake up and take decisions without following due process

The "who" here are Nigerians, suffering from the thoughtless pronouncement "subsidy is gone" made by Tinubu right at inauguration ground

Of what use is subsidy removal when we know that few individuals will still loot the money?

As far as am concerned, subsidy is the only thing the common man is benefiting from the government.

Buhari increased the price of fuel he didn't use the money to do anything instead, he borrowed more money for looting.

Make them leave our subsidy for us!

Funny. “ trying to join another tribe?” That’s being egocentric, the facts availability proofs the contrary ……. Ask ASSU about the latest court judgement. On no work no pay.

This subsidy issue is very sensitive, there should have been palliative in place first. And yes Labour is part of the problem here, especially when we know this is their normal atililogo dance. Labour was in the country when PIA act was passed they did nothing, they were around when candidates, even their own candidates said he would remove it immediately they did nothing. Now they want to deceive the gullible ones as usual. Same Unions whose corruption level is worse than the government ooooo.
