Peugeot 206 stopped at 2006 replaced by 207. Peugeot engines aren't expensive sha depends on condition of vehicle. Go price engine and other contingency that needs to be done, remove from asking price

my bad it was 2006 I wanted to write, wld currect that now. Made inquiry for engine they said just half and top 190k, while complete is 250k

Fragile electronics.. The older it gets, the more the electrical gremlins... Peugeot over-engineering

Expensive parts for what's supposed to be an economy vehicle.

Can only mostly properly be fixed by Peugeot experts with appropriate scan tools, etc...


Not worth the supposed fuel saving flaunted... all these is my opinion of course.. I can't understand why anyone will want a vehicle which saves you a bit of fuel money, but takes it back and more in parts, cost of specialist repairs, and significantly higher fuel consumption if vehicle is put under any significant load..

It will likely be much worse with the scrap specimen you are about to put your money into... A bad engine means you can't fully ascertain the correct state of the car's electronics, gear, and suspension... These "buy and replace engine" cars hardly ever need only an engine to run fine..

Its a car he has been using and he is that certain that the engine is still OK. Am asking because I know the worst it can be is to change the engine and car have bn parked for more than 5months

- Parts are expensive for an economy car that it's meant to be.
- Repair is not cheap either, you don't want to try every mechanic you see, for things as little as fixing your clutch, you must go with a peugeot specialist else you go round in circles.
- Dashboard clock keeps failing even after changing it, I have seen this with other 206 users.
- fuel economy is great but depends on your engine specs, drive pattern and load carriage.
- The car can accommodate a 406 or 307 engine also, gives you more power.
- Resale value is good, sales faster than other Peugeots.

My advice if you like the look of the car, and the offer is price is good, you can give it a shot, remember there are no bad cars or good cars.
