I always hear people say, "I have forgiven and forgotten what you did to me"

Could this be possible?

Yea, it's possible. You can forgive as a human being but it will difficult to forget as a human being. We are not God, it's only God that forgive & forget.

Forgive but don't forget, so that u will not fall a victim again

Yes....

Even tho, it might take many years. But if you forgive a person, you refused to take vengeance. And put everything into God's hands/judgement.

Forgetting takes long, when you refused to bring back the memories.

I've recalled terrible events in my life and I will laugh over it.

Most times, you only remember this when similar events unfolds and you want to rely on your previous experience to overcome it. But without such happenings, these things are locked away in your memory.

It is possible to forgive but foolishness to forget as that means the wisdom gained from the experience is equally lost to one. The reason people rehash what has been done to them in the past is rather that they have not truly forgiven.

I would say this often but it's easy to forgive but it's hard to forget, only time can heal wounds like this
