The Bible doesn't say much about what heaven is supposed to be like. Most of the claims about heaven are exaggerations of the Bible. The Bible says the Gates are made of pearl. What are the gates for? Are they made just as an excuse to irritate clams? Are the gates supposed to keep someone out or to keep souls from escaping?

it also says the streets are paved with gold but the only reason we actually like gold so much and we attach such values to it is because they are rare and difficult to extract. Gold is malleable and can be formed as needed for use in, among others, electronics, dentistry, medical tools, and the defense, aerospace, and automotive industries. Gold is durable and noncorrosive. However gold shouldn't be valuable at all in heaven unless we'd still need to use gold for those things in heaven too which actually makes heaven just another version of earth

The sales pitch for heaven is that there is only happiness and no sorrow. But it also says that many people's loved ones won't be there. Since they can't feel sorrow about that, are they ecstatic that their loved ones are being tortured forever? Either your memories are removed or your human empathy is removed. Is it really you that is left over once some parts of you have been removed?

If life matters to me now, it will always have mattered to me, even when I am gone. Death cannot change that.

Your best hope is to be locked in a gold cage with your memories of having an actual life being erased just so you can kiss ass for eternity.

Life is pleasant, death is serene. The transition might be troublesome but we all have to go through it. You shouldn't fear death so much. Heaven and hell are imaginary. You should reject the indoctrination. Life is much better that way.

Many people including myself mistake going to church to Christianity. For one to be a Christian, the person most live the type of life that Christ lived while on earth.
What we have today as Christians are mostly church goers.

How many of them were actually saved and bound for heaven?

I saw a post a brother shared here not too long ago concerning the general overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

It was about what God once told him about the hundreds of thousands or even millions of people that would attend the Holy Ghost congress from every part of the country and beyond during one of those annual gatherings.

God told him He didn't know up to a hundred of them.

Now kindly take a deep breath and ponder on that saying, so the meaning could sink deeply to enable you grasp it fully.

Out of hundreds of thousands or even millions of people, God said He knew less than a hundred of them.

That's less than 0.1 percent, which means that more than 99.9 percent of Christians attending that particular church program were bound for hell from God's own point of view.

So just imagine that compared to what many Christians believe.

Doesn't that already show how far they were from the reality of heaven?

The only reason many Christians will be surprised by that reality is if they allowed themselves to be deceived by doctrines and ideas of men in the church, and not abide by the Truth and Words of the Spirit which Jesus preached, because Jesus already taught us that the way that gate that leads to life was narrow and that which leads to destruction was broad.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

This is the reason why He asked us to strive to enter into the gate that leads to life, because it's not easy to enter into it as many have been misled to think but hard.

Luke 13:24 (KJV)

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

It's the gate that leads to destruction that's. not hard but easy to enter so you wouldn't need to stress yourself or strive to enter because it's broad.

That's why we shouldn't be deceived by the mammoth crowd gatherings in some churches, because most (not all) of them were broad as the gate that leads to destruction, in the sense of the gospel they preach, as it is that which was appealing to the flesh and what men want to hear, hence many go in, but the end thereof is death and destruction, because the flesh profits nothing. It's the Spirit that gives life.

That why we should follow the example of Jesus (the Narrow way) who preached the Word of the Spirit, regardless if it offended many of His false disciples and make them to leave because of His preaching. John

It better to have a few church members (200), and just 10% (20) who were bound for hell, than to have many church members (hundreds of thousands or million) and less than 0.1% of them were heaven bound.

Your main concern should be am I going to make it check ur own self and work more out yourself by his grace. So don't help to determine who and who or how many churches should be. You spoke just like human that you are. No human flesh is needed in heaven, needless to say you'd miss your loved ones. Only the spirit goes there. The spirit doesn't experience sorrow so, even if your loved ones missed it and you per chance made heaven, you'd not feel terrible because someone you loved didn't make heaven. When you're in your flesh, you feel sad, terrible, pain, hungry,emotional, etc, not when you're in the spirit.

Have you ever gone hungry and suddenly went to sleep, then only to feel same hunger as soon as you were awake? Have you ever had pain in your body and went to sleep and forgot you were in pain all of a sudden, only to begin experiencing that pain the moment you're awake? You could be dreaming being in several places in a short time, even places you couldn't have visited or covered in months while in flesh....its because your flesh was inactive during that period. Once your flesh or body is done away with in this world, your spirit goes to wherever you deserve to be, given how you lived your life while on earth and how you kept God's laws. Its your spirit that would be there, not your flesh that experiences pain,.hunger, sadness. Spirit doesn't go hungry or feels those things mentioned.

Being a believer goes beyond carnal thinking. I remember when I once said to someone here on NL about hearing from God clearly, just like someone talking beside you and the person said its not God that's speaking, but the person may be running mad or hallucinating. Whereas, God actually speaks to his people, loud and clear. He speaks via other means too... esp, dreams. These days, sins have taken over in most places such that, even to pray and receive immediate answers has become a problem. When you have a problem and you pray, response should be instant and when a bit delayed, God would have a reason for it and not because of your sin. He may be considering a better option or time for it to be fulfilled, when it would favour you the most. After all He makes all things beautiful in his own time and His ways aren't ours. But because even the so called men of God do unimaginable things, its become difficult for prayers to be answered immediately or at all. One pastor was brought to my house sometime ago by my sister, just to say hello as they stopped by. My wife was wearing a white transparent knicker, hours before they came. My sister only called that they were coming from a function and would like to stop by and say hello. I now said were home. When they came, as my wife was trying to entertain them with drinks, this man's attention was on my wife's backside. I was wondering. I noticed my wife's panties was transparent, unknowing to her so I whispered to her to go wear another short or trouser which she quickly did. This man was wearing a pastor's collar in his neck. It was on a Sunday afternoon. We've heard of pastors raping church members. The bible says , if you look at a woman lustfully, you've committed fornication. If you see her once and discovered she's not dressed decently, commot eye and look the other way but how many men do that today? When you now pray, you expect instantaneous response? It doesn't happen that way. These are the reasons many people are losing faith nowadays. Sins have become a commonplace amongst us. If only we all can go back to God, He'd draw closer to us and we'd have a different perspective of Him, this world and heaven.

Heaven is super real, apart from the way the bible described it and i said it here a few days ago , narrating my childhood's experience when he had an accident and saw his spirit leave his entire body immediately, then passed. He now found himself in a flower garden with unimaginable cool breeze and saw people of different races coming from left right and centre in large number every second, and nobody was talking to one another as everyone was going their separate ways, both young and old and the entire place was quiet. There's heaven and only your clean spirit goes there

That's why setting attendance targets, among other such worldly practices in many church today, which makes people start preaching rubbish (the words of the flesh), which people want to hear instead of the Gospel of Christ which may not be so appealing to men, is very wrong, because it may fill up the church building with souls, but it will also make the church to be full of souls bound for hell fire instead of heaven.

I have had a lot of terrible encounters with Many pastors and self acclaimed Prophets, what I have seen so far aches my head, it saddens me. The kind of sermons I hear from pastors scare me a lot

Day time Christians and nighg time flying creatures. I wonder if they do fly consciously or subconsciously.

Akpabio may likely loose the position of Senate President to a Muslim member of APC whom opposition will vote for to counter Tinubu's influence over the Senate (Saraki no. 2 loading). I don't see PDP or LP voting for Akpabio. So all that opposition needs to do is vote enmass against Akpabio with a little splinter of APC and someone like Yari former Governor of Zamfara will emerge Senate President and Uzor Kalu Deputy Senate President. Opposition PDP and LP don't want someone that will be " Yes sir " to Tinubu like the useless Ahmed Lawan led Senate was that led to them approving all manner of loans to Buhari. The implication of opposition plot will be very devastating to APC who will be tainted with the brush of an Islamist party with President, Vice President, Senate President, Speaker of House of Rep ,(Tajudeen Abbas tentatively) and Chief Justice of Nigeria all Muslims.
