I'm searching for who will install the carburetor for me.
12kg gas last for 2weeks on the generator according to the guy. But even if it is just 1week or 3days it's still better than spending minimum of 3000k-5000k every night just for home alone, not to talk of vehicles and office
I doubt the 2 weeks or even one week claim though.

I do buy fuel 5000 every night to power my house because we have not had electricity for over 4months. With this I will save money
No light for months but remove subsidy

This subject matter must be properly researched.

I do know it should work but the safety concerns shud be the major issue.

If Gas can produce the heat we use to cook why can't it power our generator.

With time we shall see

Using SE as a case Study

As the effect of Subsidy removal on PMS has continued to be felt among Nigerians, especially homes and businesses that relies primarily on petrol, a Nigerian from Anambra state, South East, seems to have proffered solution to counter the rising cost of petrol.

The man converts Generators which runs on petrol, to Gas powered Generators.

Since the removal of subsidy on Petrol, families and businesses spends average of N5000-N10000 naira to run Generators daily, while a cooking of 12kg which cost about N7000 can run a generator for more than a week.

Lots of households and businesses are converting their generators to gas powered generators to save cost.

I don't need to use it to prove it is not new because I don't even need it but see the attached The Guardian reportage.... note, the 2016 date.

I was involved in a project where our generator was powered by methane generated from farm waste ....so this is no big deal.
True that.

I don't live in Nigeria thus have no need for such, my family homes both in Lagos and in the village are both off grid as they are powdered by a mix of solar and wind, while the cooking gas in the village house is methane processed from the installed biodigester which is fed with food and farm wastes.
Way to go with a renewable energy mix.

It's not new. Someone installs it around kayode street at ogba in lagos and I've known about it close to 3 years.
I saw no need for it but I'm sure if I knew a 12.5 kg gas would last one week what the petrol equivalent would last just a day, I would have gotten it done.
The veracity of how economic and lasting the gas is compared to petrol is the main issue now.
Insights.

48 hours of continuous generator usage for the 12.5kg of LPG gas.

What's the capacity of the generator.

This is not ingenuity.
Ingenuity is somebody showing how to get light for free.

The moment people start using gas in large numbers they would hike the price of gas.

Ingenuity is to develop an affordable generator that runs on water or on charcoal.

Develop vehicles that run on coal and or water.

Opportunity dey for such inventors to hammer
