You are right, but we cannot play with 11 home based players and expect the get the desired results. They have to mix them. I remember late Stephen Keshi had about five or six home based players in the squad that won Afcon in 2013.

Look at Morocco who represented Africa and put the continent back on the map with oustanding displays of exceptional quality football ⚽.

Go and check where 80% of thier players have come from.

I could add that irrespective of where their players were born and or anchored their careers from in Europe. They all still identify with their origins in Morocco. They have a nation that works , a nation with integrity, probity meritorious service and rewards.

Can we say the same of Nigeria ❓
