This thing has really gotten me worried for a while now. Right from the days of Airforce1 (That guy no gree blow), to all these current artiste flocking here on NL.

Personally, I believe we can come up with a movement on this platform to ensure that at least one artiste from this platform must blow.

We have over 3million members here on Nairaland. Imagine if 50% of that number stream an artiste song at least twice a week for a period of 1 month...that artiste is made. There will be other strategies which I already have in place, and all will be initiated right from this platform (No external platform).

Let's help our brothers & Sisters in the entertainment industry.

Airforce1 music na peppersoup joint jams he sabi release. I don’t care for the other guy. If he can’t make a name in his street or community, being on Nairaland won’t help.

Remember Banky W? Na frustration Nairaland use pursue am when he first start. Same with one other guy who reigned for a year or two mainstream.

Wizkid for lose hope if he tried here first. Tonto Dike who always made front page that year was a joke of a musician. Despite how many Nairalanders clicked on topics regarding her music, her YouTube view count from here was never up to forty in total.

He decided to do something worthwhile with the fame; make music.
A good move but it was done in a rush. He could have solicited for funds first and go to A-list music producers to create a very good song.
He didn't.
He could have tried again when it felt like he didn't succeed the first time
He didn't.

You mean Banky W was once on Nairaland? If I remember correctly, he arrived Nigeria from overseas and became an instant hit?

He also tried to promote his music here with no success. Maybe he was an instant hit in the real world. Judging from his Nairaland interactions, only him and a handful of others would have known of his existence talk less of making it big one day.

How far boss. I'm an artiste, I've been using nairaland for over a decade, so when my first single drop I hurried to post it here but the reception was weak AF.
