Good day nairalanders. Sorry to bother you, but I have a problem and I am hoping to get help here.
So my husband and I are a new couple living in Abuja. We had a baby and would be expecting my mum, pastor and friends to the house soon. The problem is my husband has been feeling really down lately. He doesn't want anyone to come around but I told him that wasn't possible. How can we ask people not to come around when we just had a baby especially my parents. The reason he doesn't want any one around is because we basically live in an empty house. It's a one bedroom, but we have no properties. My husband was living in a self contained we we got married but we moved to a room and parlor afterwards. My husband wasn't rich or anything. He only had a bed and a wardrobe but got a tv later. All the money he ever made, he invested in one man that said he could help him travel out, about 1.2 million gone. Now he can't afford anything asides food and every other thing went into getting baby needs. He has been so down and feeling dejected ever since I told him my mum was coming, and other people too. He said it's too shameful for him and would make him feel like less than a man. I don't know what to do, because I haven't gotten a job after serving. Please nairalanders, if you have any property you could do away with or give away, most especially living room chairs. please help me. I live in Abuja, and can pick it up.
If you find such situation embarrassing then you can travel to your mum place where you can stay with her for Omugo

But left for me, let her come and see your situation so that they will understand your condition and not expecting anything from you guys especially your husband

So many women moves to their mother when it's time fir them to put to bed especially first child and also situations like yours

We must stop padding or pretending so that those who wants to assist us can do so when they see our condition

Alternatively, get two plastic chairs

Any one that comes will leave early as their is no need to Stay long

If you are feeling down about your living conditions before your mum ans pastor
Then you must have been living a false life
