With inflation at 50% ( forget official rate), we are truly on the road to Golgotha. Allowing the naira to float while removing subsidy is inviting a runaway inflation. This is ridiculous and some people are hailing this nonsense. |

onez:Lol. Most of them act like programmed entities. They share updates from one WhatsApp group to another. They don't interrogate issues. My only question is that, why is PBAT in so much hurry? He doesn't seem to be in control. He needs to appoint economic advisers before it is too late. It's not just about copying textbook poilices but knowing WHEN and how to implement them. |

Tinubu’s policies are utterly reckless. Mumu Nigerians hail textbook policies that don’t apply directly. With limited supply of FX, floating the exchange rate means banks and speculators will determine the rates while CBN plays catch up. Fuel subsidy removal only frees up money for looting by the political vultures. Tinubu cannot stop the criminals that supported him to power. As for stopping the funding for tertiary institutions and instituting student loans, it only means the poor cannot access tertiary education again. Forget the loan, the bureaucratic bottlenecks will ensure the average youth cannot access it. Nigerians deserve all they get cos they can’t think. |

Flets:I saw your well-reasoned posts on some other threads and it saddened me how Nigerians (the so-called masses that are going to bear the brunt of any government mishap) were falling over themselves to criticize you. I swear, e be like say Tinubu don jazz this country. ![]() I keep on asking this question: if peradventure Obi had become president and enacted these same policies Tinubu is passing, I can bet the farm that those hailing him now would have stopped at nothing to denounce him and his government. How do I know? Look what happened to GEJ. Tribalism and Religion have really destroyed this country. |
