Now try Twi - because I dont understand. Transmission and then what smiley smiley. Your biggest power station is 300KV. Kenya is 400KV.

Stop the delusional about Nuclear and concentrate on getting out of debt default.

Ghana electricity Network is like this. DO NOT CLAIM TO BE AFRICA BIGGEST OR SOME CRAP.

"GRIDCo now owns and operates a countrywide transmission system for the distribution of
bulk electric power in Ghana, consisting of about 218km of 330kV transmission line, About
4,000 circuit-kilometres 161 kilovolts (kV) transmission lines and 50 of 161/34.5kV and/or
11.5kV substations. Six hundred (600) circuit-kilometres of the 161 kV lines are currently
operated at 34.5 kV and are referred to as “161 kV light lines”. The transmission system is a
161 kV loop serving loads in the southern part of the country and two separate radial lines
from Techiman to the north."

Table 1: Fact sheet on transmission network - transmission line lengths
330 kV 219.5 km
161kV 3,888.1 km
225 kV 73.4 km
69 kV 132.8 km
No. of Transformers (including spares) 100
Transformer Capacity 2,915 MVA
No. of Transformer/Switching Substations 53
Largest switching Substation is Volta
substation
Tema
Transformer Substations 330/161kV, 161/69kV, 161/34.5kV,
161/11.5kV

Just40:
Sometimes I dont know whether to insult you or just observe because you're quite stupid.

Have you ever stepped a foot in a classroom before? Wow Kenya really poorly educated you.
Transmit 400kv to homes and industry and see if you don't kill your entire country.

Let me educate you a bit
1. I'm referring to a substation (power hub) and not a transmission line

2. The 161-kV and 115-kV system is the workhorse of the transmission system. It is responsible for transmitting power from the larger transmission system and generation facility throughout the entire service area.

3. The Technology employed in Ghana's substations can not be found in your poor bankrupt country Kenya. Those techs are one of a kind
They make it easily possible to join load from Nuclear power plants. We've managed to reduced the size(footprint) of our substations to the size of a lawn tennis court, using technology.

The transmission lines and substation network in Kenya have not been design to accept load from Nuclear power station. Try it and things will start going boom.

Now go and worry about your small irrelevant poor country... You guys don't have money for these techs. Let me know when Kenya build with such l techs

Again your brain is too fried to know the difference between a sub station and a transmission line.
Good you confessed you don't understand 🤣😂

It will take bankrupt Kenya in default another decade before it can lay hands on the kind of technology that gridco has employed on it transmission systems including it substations.

Kenya is now thinking about building the kind of substations we've built with completion years in 2033.

Anyway let me just burst your lies on GRIDco transmission

GRIDCO has a transmission network of 7,200 ckm
Substations of 70
They are currently increasing their transformer capacity to 17,000MVA
ECG has a 100,000km of service lines

Kenya is just a small country and hasn't gotten here yet... It's always crazy to see you compare your dark country to Ghana on electricity

Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Mkenya2019: 7:51am On Jun 15, 2023
You were doing great if you concentrated on Ghana without mentioning Africa.
Like I told you Kenya has 1,000KM 500KV line to Ethiopia - you best is 200KM - 300KV line.
Biggest substation in kenya sits on 300 acres.
You're small potatoes.

Ghana does not need a 500kv line.

In subsaharan Africa, Ghana only comes second to SA. With good technology, you wouldn't need 300 acres to build a substation and that is what I keep repeating to you that you grid is stuck in the 20th century.
Ghana is busy shinking it substations size to half an acre and even less

I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings but Kenya is not a match, even Ivory Coast is better off than your country.

Imagine comparing 1000km of line to 7,200km here.

Meanwhile there's not even a single substation in Kenya above 300 MVA.

Just imagine comparing Kenya 40,000km distribution line to Ghana's 100, 000km

Or Kenya 3000MVA capacity to Ghana's 9000MVA and being expanded to 17,000MVA.

We didn't spend a billion dollars on our transmission systems for the like of poor Kenya to try to compare

Rich coming from Lazy witchcraft loving Tanzania that blocked 500 trucks to kenya this week due to export permits.
https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2023-06-10-trucks-held-at-namanga-border-to-be-granted-access-cs-kuria/

• The trucks have been stuck at the border for two weeks now with traders counting losses amounting to millions of shillings.

• The traders accused the Tanzanian authorities of frustrating them despite having paid levies and acquiring the right import permits.

Many substations in kenya that run 400KV - your 161KV is small potato.

This is where I know you know nothing about electricity, electrical and electronic.

330kv and 220kv are the arteries of the network

Sounds like biology of electricity. I am in process of setting up my own 110KW mini-hydro. So I know a lot more about this than you will ever know.
Konza - once completed will be 1000MVA - as demand is projected at 700MVA. Now it still under construction. It supplied by 400KV line. Something alien in your country.

Classic Strawman arguments.
Enact a strawman - in 2019 you said Nairobi will overtake Joburg in 5yrs?
Then proceed to demolish.
I have said Nairobi need 10-15yrs to overtake Joburg.
And it going to happen.

Kenya parliament passed housing levy that will hopefully not be blocked by our judiciary and Nairobi is about to experience housing boom.

Youre starting to sound like a cry baby with lame excuses from here to Timbuktu.
You didnt expereince 8hours of power cuts out of some accident - ANC caused it.
You didnt get grey listed by US/EU - ANC caused it.
Name it - youve caused it.
Aside from COVID - almost all South Africa problems are self-inflicted.
From Hiv-Aids, Education or lack of it, Immigration, Eskom, name it - ANC caused them.

Now until you own up and make changes - you will continue to blame everyone but yourselves.

Next election you've a chance to turn the corner like Nigeria is doing. Dump ANC or PERISH.
