Anointed Vs Anointed by Myer(op):
I am trusting God to help us to really delve into this topic and unravel this mechanism and strategy that the enemy has used to both infiltrate the church/body of Christ and the world at large.

Do you realise that the enemy of the church is not really unbelievers?
It's not even really witches and wizards?

The enemy of the church is believers- intra and inter- denominationally.

Believers attacking believers spiritually and even physically- intentionally and or ignorantly.
God help us all.

Jesus Christ has paid for it all.
He has overcome and given us all the Victory we could ever need.
So what ails the church?

Please let us study on this topic personally so that we can have a koinoinia and study on it together- iron sharpening iron.
Our deliverance in here- individually and corporately in Jesus name. Amen.

When the op is saying belivers, what type of believers? What exactly do they believe in?
The problem with most people is that they don't even know who a Christian is, but people will better accept that if you don't know who a Christian is, it simply means also that you are not one,
If what the op meant by a believer in this context is a Christian, it means that he doesn't know who a Christian is, because a Christian can never be an enemy of Christ or the church of Christ,
BTW A CHRISTIAN IS ONLY THE ONE THAT FOLLOW THE TEACHINGS AND LIFESTYLE AND FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS CHRIST, anything less is not, so THOSE people that the poster mentioned are not christians or believers of Jesus Christ, they are children of the devil pretending to be followers of Jesus Christ

You've spoken well.
However no one really should call himself a Christian.
Just as in Antioch it was the unbelievers that called the disciples Christians. It is a tangible nature that people can see.

We are saved to be disciples of Christ.
Becoming a Christian (Christ-like) is life time journey as we continue following the teachings of Christ and leadings of Holy spirit- worshipping the Father in Spirit and Truth.

A believer is everyone who believes in the gospel. There is a growth process to this.

1. Stop shifting goal posts abeg! A Christian is any badge-wearing member of the religion of Christianity — na dem dey fill una churches and cathedrals and masses every day. undecided

2. Well, given that the religion of Christianity is founded on doctrines and traditions which are at variance with the very teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, I think the definition of Christian is in fact not far from an outright enemy of Jesus Christ in this. undecided

3. Jesus Christ never asked anyone to follow His lifestyle or His footsteps — for good reason too since He lived His life in submission and obedience to God's Old Law of Moses, while He called His followers to follow Him via a different Law and Kingdom — so your definition does not agree at all with that set forth by Jesus Christ. So, clearly, your idea does not fit with Jesus Christ who instead said His followers are those who obey His teachings and commandments. undecided

You personal opinion doesn't count here as long as it contradicts the real definition of Christianity, the bible said that the disciples of Jesus Christ were called Christians because they were living like Jesus Christ, so if you are not living like Jesus Christ or following his teachings and lifestyle you are not a Christian no matter what you claim, things like you can never fault Christianity, if the devil couldn't succeed there how will you his agents do it?
What is the difference between those that live like Jesus and those that keep His commandments? Can you live like Jesus without keeping His commandments? You are definitely not a Christian which means you are not His follower so you cannot pass a sound opinion on what you don't know, I clearly said that if you don't know the meaning of Christianity you are not a Christian and that's what you just proved.

Would they have been called Christians if they were not being like Jesus?
Is believing in the gospel alone good enough to get salvation?
There is a difference between believing in the gospel and actually doing what that gospel said, who will be the one saved? The one that said they believe or the one that did what the gospel Said?
If a follower of Jesus Christ doesn't call himself a Christian, what will he call himself? There is nothing wrong in a TRUE follower of Jesus calling himself a Christian, THOSE disciples did not refuse to answer Christians when they were called such because they understood what it means. I know that any follower of Jesus that is not confident enough to call themselves Christian are not christians, then I am not saying that everyone that claim to be a Christian or call themselves christians are TRUE CHRISTIANS

1. It is also written that that moniker was given to them by the pagans— many who in fact never met Jesus Christ—, and not by Jesus Christ or any God-related source. And you can draw a parallel from that to the fact that the religion of Christianity which you have today was made official by a pagan Constantine who fancied himself a god. So obviously, that badge you wear today has little to do with Jesus Christ or His truth but judgments that have nothing to do with Him or the Truth of God. undecided

2. Everything! God desires, above all things, your obedience — results only count when they are born of obedience.

3. Jesus Christ elucidated this matter in his messages castigating the false teachers and false prophets whom he accused of pretending to live as He did but had none of the obedience to back up their claims. undecided

4. Again, Jesus Christ said those who love Him are those who obey His teachings and commandments. Those who reject His teachings and commandments — including those who would rather pretend to be like Him — are His enemies - John 15 vs 14. So, if you think living what you term his lifestyle which is mostly interpreted as following his examples rather than submitting to and obeying His teachings, you cannot be said to be doing as He asks, and as such cannot be of Him. undecided

5. You cannot be of the religion of men —Christianity, Islam, etc,— and also be of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ made clear that you cannot serve two masters — Teachers, Shepherds, Authorities/Leaders, etc., — in the Kingdom of God - Matthew 6 vs 24. Either you love your religion and hate Jesus Christ, or hate religion — Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Catholicism, or any other -isms, and love Jesus Christ alone. undecided

I don't mean it's wrong to call yourself a Christian. However if the early disciples are our examples, then none of them called themselves Christians. It was others that called them so. I stand to be corrected though.

They simply referred to themselves as saints, believers, brethren, people of the way, etc.

To be a Christian as observed in Antioch, Christ really must have been formed in you. It's the state of Sonship. You can't be a babe any more. You must be someone who needs not be taught again though you remain teachable, you should probably already know your calling or be functioning in your ministry. Cos we are all called into ministry either as Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets or Apostles.

That's my point.

Obeying Jesus Christ through the keeping of His commandments does not mean you will live exactly as Jesus Christ lived nor does it mean you will follow in His very footsteps. Rather the result, according to Him is that you will do the good works that He did, and more - John 14 vs 6 - 23. undecided

So living like Jesus or doing like Him is not Christ like which is the meaning of Christianity?

Jesus Christ did not ask His followers to imitate Him. Rather He asked His followers to obey His teachings and commandments stating that it is by doing as He asks that they will end up doing what He did and more. Those who go around trying to imitate Christ do so against Jesus Christ who instead said His friends are those who do as He asks/commands, implying those who do not do as He asks(using His name) are instead His enemies. undecided

So your problem now is that those that decide to follow Christ and obey his commandments are called Christians and shouldn't be called Christians? So if one decides to be called a Christian, that one is a sinner even if he obeys Jesus or emulate Jesus? So according to you, trying to be like Jesus is disobedience to his words?
I am asking all these because you seem to be confused about who a Christian is, what exactly do you think or whatever you believe in say a follower of Jesus should be called? Ate you saying that anyone who obeys all the commandments of Jesus Christ and do all the right THINGS that will lead to salvation and then decide to be called a Christian will loose his salvation if he wants and decide to call himself a Christian? If your answer to this is NO, what then is your argument?

1. None of that. I simply made clear that the word "Christians" is a general term that more aptly describes those who are associated with the religion of Christianity than it actually does those who strictly live according to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ-- God's Law and Covenant in the Kingdom of God. undecided

5. Well, if you live in obedience to God's Law, Jesus Christ, do you think it would also be appropriate to associate yourself with Babalawos? If you say it is OK that the name and assumed association does not matter, then fine. As I made clear the problem is the religion of Christianity which the term "Christian" is associated with happens to be antichrist in its foundations so for a one who believes rather in Jesus Christ to go around wearing the "Christian" name tag is cause for confusion.. undecided

What I understand you saying is that a Christian is a sinner and a pagan, that no matter their life style and belief, the moment they decide to be called Christians they are sinners and not the followers of Jesus Christ because it was pagans who called the disciples of Jesus Christians, if I am correct, then, I think you are ignorant of the word of God and the bible and what Jesus Christ is all about, you need to put away, your pride and go to Jesus Christ in prayer to reveal who he is to you, what I am 100% sure here is that you don't know who Jesus Christ is yet, and I don't believe that it's any human being that can reveal to you that, it's only the holy spirit, that is if you even believe in that too, you think you know but clearly you don't know, ask God to speak to you Himself

Here's what Jesus Christ made clear in His Gospels which aptly describes religion including the religion of Christianity. undecided
1 Some Pharisees and some teachers of the law came from Jerusalem and gathered around Jesus.
2 They saw that some of his followers ate food with hands that were not clean, meaning that they did not wash their hands in a special way.
3 The Pharisees and all the other Jews never eat before washing their hands in this special way. They do this to follow the traditions they have from their great leaders who lived long ago.
4 And when these Jews buy something in the market, they never eat it until they wash it in a special way. They also follow other rules from their people who lived before them. They follow rules like the washing of cups, pitchers, and pots.
5 The Pharisees and teachers of the law said to Jesus, “Your followers don’t follow the traditions we have from our great leaders who lived long ago. They eat their food with hands that are not clean. Why do they do this?”
6 And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me;
7 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
8 You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.”( Morality )
9 Then he said, “You show great skill in avoiding the commands of God so that you can follow your own teachings!
10 Moses said, ‘You must respect your father and mother.’ He also said, ‘Whoever says anything bad to their father or mother must be killed.’
11 But you teach that people can say to their father or mother, ‘I have something I could use to help you, but I will not use it for you. I will give it to God.’
12 then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
13 thus making void the word of God by your tradition(Moral codes/morality) that you have handed down. And many such things you do.” - Mark 7 vs 1 - 13
2. If you knew God yourself, you would know never to ask an unrighteous to go to God in prayer for the things you say there since God made clear that He does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous; the prayers, pleas for the forgiveness of sins, praises, giving, offerings, "good" works of the unrighteous are an abomination to God as they are all made filthy by their sins. Clearly, I am not the one here with the deficiency as far as the Truth of God is concerned. undecided

3. If you half knew the one you claim knowledge of, you would know His Truth - John 8 vs 31 - 36 - even as far as religion and its place as nothing but lies where the Truth of God is concerned. undecided

4. So you are saying Jesus Christ lied when He made clear in His Gospels that those who are of the world — unholy — can't receive the Holy Spirit aka the Spirit of Truth - John 14 vs 15-26 & John 15 vs 26 - 27 & John 16 vs 4 - 16 -? Interesting! undecided

I will insist that your interpretation of the Bible is warped, how can the unrighteous get to God except through prayer?? Or how are they supposed to get to God? They will remain like that because the bible said God doesn't listen to a sinner? When a sinner comes to God in repentance asking to be forgiven, God will surely listen to him, wasn't He the one that said come?
I am saying and I maintain that if you bring yourself to where you belong and ask God for direction, He will show you who He is, He enjoys doing that, BTW John 8:31-36 is saying exactly what I told you to do, find the truth and the truth will set you free from ignorance. Jesus Christ is that truth, look for Him.
Yiu still also to find out why Christianity is not a religion like I said, it's a way of life, and there is nothing you can do about it, you are free to be where you are though, it's your choice, as for me and so many others, we are christians.
I know you can't be a Christian because you are certainly not meant to be one

■ I will insist that your interpretation of the Bible is warped, how can the unrighteous get to God except through prayer?? Or how are they supposed to get to God? They will remain like that because the bible said God doesn't listen to a sinner? When a sinner comes to God in repentance asking to be forgiven, God will surely listen to him, wasn't He the one that said come?
If you wish to reason the things of God never do so in such a way as to reduce God to your life of reasoning--- never lean on your own understanding. Always aim to make keep God's Word True no matter what. God said He does not answer the prayers of the sinner(He never once changed His mind about this any where in scripture) so why do you assume--- no, conclude even ---- that God changed His mind and definitely answers the prayers of the same sinners whom He swore He does not answer? Is God some sort of mumu to you? undecided

You see, Scripture states that God does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous; the pleas and requests and every petition, praise, offering, work, plea, sacrifice, etc., of the unrighteous are tainted by their sins(disobedience/unholiness) and are hence an abomination to God. So, what is definite is that even your many pleas for the forgiveness of sins are not answered by God given that God made no special exemptions for that kind of plea. No amount of praying can cause God to change His mind regarding that which concerns the unrighteous by the way. So if you are thinking of prescribing more prayers that only means you really don't understand or know God at all. undecided

God, however, openly bragged about how He only answers the prayers of the righteous; He delights in granting them the desires of their heart meaning that they are those who he loves. For this very reason, Jesus Christ urged His followers to seek first the Kingdom of God and God's Righteousness in order that all things— the blessings and rewards of the Kingdom of God(holiness), answers to prayers included—shall be added on to them. And as Jesus Christ explained in His Gospel, the only way to become Holy, and then also Righteous, is by way of continuous submission and obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, god's Truth and Law in the Kingdom of god - John 8 vs 31 - 36 & John 14 vs 15 - 23. Jesus Christ is the only way. Obedience to the Truth of God is the one and only path to Gof and to His righteousness. No amount of praying and other religious rituals can accomplish that. undecided

God deals indirectly with the unrighteous, the same way He deals with the unbelievers including the wicked and the ungrateful and that is by pouring out His mercy and kindness on them daily. So every time as an unrighteous you feel that God has answered your prayer know that at that same moment, or moments before that, God also provided the same mercy or similar to someone else across the world — or maybe just across from you— who does not even believe in God, nor asked God for anything. So, if answers from God are what you seek, then do what Jesus Christ said you should, which is to seek first the Kingdom of God(holiness), and then God's righteousness, in order that all these things —the blessings and rewards of the Kingdom of God(including answers to prayers) can be added to you. undecided

■ I am saying and I maintain that if you bring yourself to where you belong and ask God for direction, He will show you who He is, He enjoys doing that,
■ BTW John 8:31-36 is saying exactly what I told you to do, find the truth and the truth will set you free from ignorance. Jesus Christ is that truth, look for Him.
■ Yiu still also to find out why Christianity is not a religion like I said, it's a way of life, and there is nothing you can do about it, you are free to be where you are though, it's your choice, as for me and so many others, we are christians. I know you can't be a Christian because you are certainly not meant to be one
1. To where you belong? And where is that? undecided

2. You find the Truth or you make yourself worthy of the Truth? By the way, the Truth is Jesus Christ - John 14 vs 6 - His teachings and Commandments which constitute God's New Covenant and Law in the Kingdom of God. And as He informed you beginning in John 8 vs 31 it is through continuous submission and obedience to His teachings and commandments that you come to Know His Truth and eventually become set free by the Truth, Jesus Christ. It isn't something you go finding. Rather He is the Law you live by in order to gain wisdom, knowledge and understanding of Him. undecided

3. Your religion of Christianity is no different from your traditional ideals and moral codes linked to your cultures -- all of of equally lifestyles or a way of life --- as Jesus Christ explained to you.... man-made ideas which do not benefit you any if God is really who you wish to serve. So in order to know Jesus Christ, one must clearly abandon that which is against Jesus Christ... other lifestyles/masters are not allowed in the Kingdom of God. undecided

Now you agree that Jesus Christ is the truth but you refuse to accept that someone who know that fruth and accept it is evil simply because he accept to be called a Christian which is exactly who someone who follows the truth is, your problem with the word Christian is according to you said by pagans, you are saying that you are not who or whatever you are because a pagan recognizes what or whoever you are, why haven't you still figured out that you are either confused here or in denial?
I will still insist that you put your pride aside and ask God if what you think is right is actually right, you just think you know but I know, based on your argument that you don't know, you don't have to accept all that your local pastor tells you or wherever you go to tell you, God hates pride

God answers the prayer of the unrighteous when he is praying and asking for forgiveness, that is what I asked you to do, pride is sin and that is where you have to start, remember I said put away your pride and ask God to reveal Himself to you, you are still going round and round without saying anything new
