Exactly what happened, the Minister as well as President were doing their job. That's diplomacy not begging

You closed your borders unannounced so those Ghanaian business men whom their goods got stacked at your borders were the only people who got affected and maybe those few guys who Trade with Nigerians
Quiet apart from that the closure of your borders had no effect on Togo talkless Ghana.

You are not among our Top trading partners so your borders can remain closed forever and we won't be aware of it
Stop trying hard.
We closed our borders, it affected far away Ghana to the extent that the Ghanaian President had to go to London to speak about it. Whether or not he was reporting Nigeria to the UK, I don't know.

It is today I got to know majority of Nigerians are mentally down

You closed your borders unannounced,
No country was made aware so Trucks loaded with perishable and none perishable goods got stacked at your borders and a Minister comes to ask you to open your borders so Ghanaian bound trucks can pass, How is that begging?

These people are wierd in all ways
We closed our borders unannounced and Ghanaians (who are not even neighbours) were complaining.

By contrast, Ghana closed her borders in 2021, and it didn't even make news in Nigeria. Only Nigerian traders in Ghana complained about it

"Nigerian traders on Wednesday flayed ECOWAS' silence over the closure of borders by the Ghana government, thus violating the policy on free movement in the region.

Mr Chukwuemeka Nnaji, President of the Nigerian Union of Traders Association in Ghana (NUTAG), made the call in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.

Nnaji, who spoke against the backdrop of delays by Ghana authorities to reopen shops owned by Nigerians, disclosed that their shops were closed since March 2020.

According to him, the borders were still closed by the Ghanaian authority and Nigerians, who ply that route, are suffering harassment and extortion
".

The long and short of it is Ghanaians hardly know Kenya or anything Kenya. You guys are just useless to us

English is a difficult language for them... Don't expect most of them to understand diplomatic language.

Anyone who read that statement knowing the in and out of diplomacy will notice it was a threat to Nigeria but allow them to carry on 😂🤣

He was asked a question about Nigeria closed borders and he had to answer.

You don't flout the community rules and not get some flogging from Ghana.

It is very important to put mature people who knows how to behave in diplomatic circles at the helms of affairs of Nigeria so your country don't keep acting like a child.

Well for Nigeria, everything goes for ego building.

When ever Ghana wants to close it western boarder, it notifies Ivory Coast just so they are not unnecessarily burdened prior and also gives a grace period just for vehicles already in transit.

This is how things are done sanely, most times it doesn't exist in Nigeria.

for the first time in about 20 years , Nigeria will be paying for using Ghana keys on lotto numbers. It is entirely more or less free in Nigeria back then. Imagine it is the other way round, nigerians will have taken it up the street like gas debt case that Ghana is owing them.

Just to remind you, this is not a hobbit's heckling chamber. You can't throw yourself into a jabbering contest and except a good turn. I said that to say this, put your Emotions in Check.

We were in Ghana when a Ghanaian single handedly demolished a building belonging to the Nigerian high commission. Their Ambassador was all over the place talking to the Ghanaian authorities.

Their minister also came to Ghana to talk about Nigerian shops that were closed down.
And many more examples
To we Ghanaians we see all that to be diplomacy but to our alata people they call it begging grin
Very Weird people

When I see them talk about Gas debt I just watch them with one eye like that.
The agreement is Take and pay so how do we use without owing?

For how much? 3 million dollars shared by 2 countries? Oh please!
We all know those days when Obasanjo (who had the senate in his palms) would just donate 40 million dollars at once to Ghana. How many times did you hear Nigerians speak about such?

The question is what is Ghana's business? We did it trying to teach Benin Republic in particular a lesson, we never knew how much Ghanaian economy was dependent on that trade route.

This is why Nigerians were all shocked when we heard the Ghanaian economy is in trouble and your president even spoke about the case in London.

It became Ghana's problem the moment you stopped allowing Ghanaian goods in transit from passing.

Explain how the Ghanaian economy is dependent on 50 million dollars trade. 🤣😂 You caused unnecessary losses to companies in Ghana for which political authorities had to take action.

Where did you hear the Ghanaian economy being in trouble again? Play dey your eye top er? 😂🤣

These are some of the things that's sets Ghana apart from chaotic zoos.

We are so deligent and diplomatic in all our doings so we will continue to be at peace with our close neighbors.

No sensible country closes borders unannounced and still refuses trucks loaded with perishable goods to cross?
The worst part is citizens of that country sees nothing wrong with that but rather call it "catching cold"? funny

How do you know it's 50 million dollars trade? If it's just 50 million dollars trade, you guys wouldn't have cried that long and so hard.
You even retaliated in 2021, but I didn't see it making news in Nigeria.

because that what the data said, the last time I checked. Talking sense into your leaders head is necessary so they can behave sanely and that's not crying.

Plus causing loss to private businesses will require govt intervention.
