Modified: I can confirm it’s actually Ikechukwu Ogalla. In 2017, his rank was commodore and now Rear Admiral. So it’s the same person.

Ogalla is the first Igbo man to command a military force since 2015. Kudos to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for his uncommon statesmanship. I’ve never doubted his nationalist disposition and ability to unite the country. Every part of the country will get their equitable share of Federal appointments irrespective of whether they gave the President 1% or 70% votes during the election.

They didn't put Ikechukwu in his name. His surename sounds Igala and now that his origin is revealed it's understandable. He is from a boarder community with Kogi State

I know Tinubu can never be as nepotic as that accursed,monumentally incompetent scam of an aboki that took Nigeria 38 years back,even when he spent 8 years.
The nearest any Iboman came to a service post under Buhari was in his nightmare.
Even if no Iboman was appointed by Tinubu,the swiftness he is taking decisions and making appointments shows a man that knows time is not on Nigeria's side.
Accursed Buhari would have left the positions vacant after sacking the incumbents allowing the cabal and his family members to be running these security agencies.
When he does eventually announce their successors you would wonder if he gave the appointments any thought at all during the months there were no substantive service and security chiefs!

There are lots of Igala names in Enugu Ezike, meanwhile kogi communities at boarder bear Igbo names too

Nothing special here: Rear Admiral Alison Amechi Madueke from same Enugu State, was the first Chief of Naval Staff ( from Igboland after the civil war) during the infamous Abacha regime.

If not for Nigeria's brand of politics in the military, Igbo people in Nigerian military have distinguished themselves excellently in their fields.
