My concern is the way forward, and obviously Tinubu does not represent the way forward. It should be very clear to any sensible person that that the last election was severely marred and flawed, just like the previous ones. Nigeria is not ready yet.

The last election was not all you mentioned just because one man who came third is sponsoring propaganda for mind control of his gullible followers, lieing unprovoked while attacking & discrediting every institution of Govt once things don’t go his way. Yes there is room for improvement, but was the best election we have had in the last 25 years— in my opinion. A new party usurped the major opposition, produced several legislators in the process. Yet you wan to rubbish every other person’s win just because you lost.m your own pursuit. It’s dubious, selfish and narcissistic. The court is the only place to prove your case, not hear-say, beer parlour rumour or emotions. Your lord, Obi knows this, but has bungled the case due to his usual all talk- no substance, tackiness and lack of preparation that has described his career since his days as Gov. That’s why he has looked for a new narrative, and is already weaponising the fickle emotion of you Obedients to start another victimhood meltdown. Be smart! You are being played by a master schemer.

I think its about time another neutral and independent commission is created to handle all electoral documents in the country. After inec staffs must have done their calculations, gotten their figures from all forms, declared the results at the polling units and successfully transmitting them to the next collation centers; the electoral documents is immediately transfered to the new commission that now bears the responbilities of safe storage and issuance on request to any one haven secured a court order to that effect.

is it not same INEC that will give the documents to the commission you are suggesting? What stops them from applying the same tactics

There can be a law mandating inec and its staffs to transfer all electoral documents to the new commission from the polling units and collation centers upon conclusion of elections and declaration of results. And no electoral documents should remain with inec for 48hrs after election and declaration of results. Failure to comply should attract sanctions that are to be outlined as operational guildlines.

Closing the case here means something completely different.
I believe it means that Atiku's legal team will make their closing statement on thursday,
after which comes the verdict by the court.

It means Tinubu and INEC (the defendants) will now open their own defense.
