Seek Peace If You Cannot Win A Battle In History by banku(op): 6:59am On Jun 24, 2023
Just like those who seek equity must come with clean hands; you cannot win battle with a history of perpetual loss.

Force, Shakara, Chest beating and exaggerated statistics have their limits.

Conquered by Igala, Ijaw, Bini and repelled by a few makeshift ragtag soldiers at Ore under a captain or a major should have been a life lesson.

Brothers and sisters make peace, love and build bridges not wars you have never won.

Completely agree with the bolded.

Propaganda to make failures appear messiahs (Nnamdi Kanu, Kaduna Nzeogwu, Ironsi, GEJ, Ojukwu, Simon Ekpa, Peter Obi etal) has gotten some people in trouble and cost them loss of many lives in history but they never learn because they feel they can never respect or follow any but their own.

Again the world sees them making a mistake as the only ones attacking a clearly good leader with universal goodwill.

Let us see where this current and predictable misdemeanor will get these people who never learn.

I think OP is saying Igbos, for once and bearing in mind their many historical fck ups that cost them dearly , should stop being disruptive and problematic people always swimming against the tide of Nigeria's progress.

I will add that Igbos must begin to reduce their egos to understand everything must not always be about them and their messianic obsession with dominating or leading others always.

Others sabi pass you in many aspect of life. Like how, factually, no Igbo Political leader exist today even close to being able to wipe Tinubu's shoes. Respect that and humble yourself to reality.

They should Back Tinubu who is showing he is the Southern leader Nigeria needs that Obi can never be in a million years.

Nigeria now has the chance to follow and back a brave, reformational, universally influential and well-supported Southern President for the good of our blessed nation so we all get what we want wherever we are from or live.

Igbos should be careful to not again be on the wrong side of history because of their overweening egos.

Today, with how fcked up Nigeria is, Awolowo's reputation is sky high as suffering has reset the mind of most Nigerians to make them undertand that the sage was the best President Nigeria never had (Ojukwu's words) because we were busy playing tribal and petty politics that made Shagari President rather than Awolowo.

Nairalanders should go and do their research to note that Shagari becoming President, instead of Awolowo, was a powerfully destructive turn of event, like the "Igbo" coup of Nzeogwu, responsible for where we are today.

Every Nigerian, desirous of progress for themself and their nation, should back BAT. The job of moving Nigeria forward, at this stage, is far beyond Obi's mediocre ability and taltent as a leader.

Atiku came second but Northerners are not disturbing the nation over his election tribunal case as Igbos are blackmailing and insulting fellow Nigerians over the petition of Obi who came third and will never be moved to first place by any judicial authority on Earth.

Everything about Igbos is extreme, perhaps because they are obsessed with dominating everyone else, but they need to tone it down because it is only in their own mind, and not validated by reality on the ground, that they are more 'special' than others.

When the election tribunal throw out Obi's case, what next for Igbos?

You egotistic extremists will begin disturbing Nigeria with IPOB part 2? Such won't be tolerated. Igbos be guided.

This your junk of a post is full of lies and hypocritical statements. How can you and your OP label Igbos as problematic and disruptive people that loves to swim against the tide of nigeria's progress, when in the real sense it is actually the nigerian state and most of its tribalistic and hateful citizens that are maltreating the Igbos and seriously pushing them to the wall. How can this be happening to a great tribe like the Igbo without some kind of retaliation and retribution?

Igbos want equity, justice and a level playground for all not, a situation where mr A is seen as no1 citizen more than mr B and C yet, you claim we are "one nigeria", what manner of country is that? come to think of it, what did the Igbos do that made you mischief makers to always see them as egocentric people that want to dominate others?

The world did not start and will not stop with politics. I really don't know why you people cannot say or do anything without mentioning politics. That tinubu your are proud of should be in jail if nigeria happens to be a sane country. Tinubu is not a man of honour and dignity because he always play ojoro in anything he does even Pa Ayo Adebanjo and other prominent yoruba sons attested to this. And that is the type of man you are proud of. I don't blame you thou because, in a country where nepotism, fraud, tribalism and hate is the order of the day what can one expect.

Igbos are clean and honourable people their voting pattern should tell you this. Don't expect them to back or support any excellency that did not emerge through an excellent way.

Atiku came second and Obi came third because that's how the crooks that found themselves in the helm of power planned it with INEC we know the truth. stop boosting with fraud there's no dignity in that.

Another typical and unprincipled Igbo into self-deception. Shall I chronicle major Igbo-instigated events that changed Nigeria negaitvely and damagingly?

Do we start with Azikiwe frusrating Awolowo's effort to include a secession clause in our constitution only for the hypocritical lunatic Ojukwu to insist Igbos had a right to secede when his Uncle Azikiwe had previously made sure that was not consititional?

How many lives lost in the civil war because of Igbos lawlessness and hypocrisy i.e you want 'one Nigeria' of Azikiwe when you thought you could control others to then embrace Ojukwu's Biafra when it was clear other are not willing to be your slaves ?

Nzeogwu "Igbo coup" Nko?

What of Ironsi unification decree of greed and covetousness that truncated regional governance you Igbos backed, because you felt you were the new 'landlords' of Nigeria' only to then be shouting Biafra when you were schemed oit of power?

Dishonesty, covetousness, lack of principles and bigoted hatred of others are your main problem as a people.

On the contrary, you are the undisputedly unprincipled yoruba here.

This lies and propaganda of Zik frustrating awolowo's effort to include secession clause in our constitution is one kind of a lie that has been over flogged yet, you mischief makers are still telling it over and over again as if your lives depends on it.

It still baffles me how Zik (one man) was able to stop something that can benefit the whole tribes that made up nigeria. How did that happen?
Does it mean that, awolowo the yorubas see as their god was overrated? Again, were were other prominent heavyweights from yoruba and other tribes in nigeria when this was happening?

Ojukwu declared the republic state of biafra because, it was necessary considering the state of things as at then. don't shy away from that fact.

Another over flogged lie and propaganda from the camp of you mischief makers is, what you called "igbo coup". How is it Igbo coup and why do you lots always tag it igbo coup?
No1 is that men from yoruba tribe and men from other tribes were involved in the said coup. Why is it that nobody is mentioning their names?

No2 is that the last time I checked the kaduna nzeogwu you mentioned, was never from SE ( since you liars and deceiver always tell us that Igboland starts and ends in SE) and that is the more reason why I keep asking why is it called Igbo coup when kaduna Nzeogwu was never from eastern region?

Lastly, yorubas are also guilty of dishonesty, covetousness, lack of principles and bigoted hatred for anything Igbo this is the main problem of yorubas.

I thing it was tagged igbos coup because:

- it was championed by Igbo military officer.
- All prominent people from the north and south west were killed in the coup while the prominent men from the south east extraction were placed on house arrest and later released.

This was the action that gave birth to Tribalism in Nigeria till date.

The case of Zik removing the secession clause from the Nigerian constitution can not be over flogged.
Zik was greedy and power drunk. He was too myopic to realize that power would change hand some day.

There was an article were he boasted that the igbos have been destined by God to rule Africa forever.

Look at what is happening today.. things have fallen apart and the same igbos destined to rule Africa forever have been relegated to the background. What a pity?

Who is that Igbo military officer that made it to be tagged "Igbo coup". is it Nzeogwu?

Let it be known that tribalism has been in existence in nigeria since 1945 when they killed Igbos in jos shouting "araba araba araba". They repeated the same act in 1953 in kano but because the yorubas where heavyweights then in media (with british backing) more than any other tribe they hid these atrocious acts under the carpet.

Zik is long dead mentioning his name when we should be moving forward is as good as dwelling in the past, and nigeria is known for that. These are one of the reasons why the country is in this messy situation it is today.
