@Immatex Just as i mentioned, i and my partner has been calling ourselves partner even before we got here. my partner has no problem with it. if i had gotten the information on gov.uk, citizen advice nor acas i wont be here.

Its really not fun joking when people have serious issues to attend to.
What if you find out that @immatex was a secondary boy ? We have lots of kids here, you should be able to identify them with their comments.

You can try Canada , USA or Mexico as someone stated earlier . UK don't give citizen by birth again.

I was asked for Spanish proficiency o. Infact my admission interview was in Spanish. The schools reply your emails in Spanish and everything. I asked about a language course but the school said they don't do that. I think it's better to learn the Spanish in your home country before you go cause even the american exchange students i spoke with all learnt Spanish in America before they went to Chile for their exchange year.

I have actually been planning to move to either Chile or Brazil since 2020 but I didn't have job yet. So when I got job I started saving and when it was enough I started reaching out to schools. Once I knew about the language barrier and that it will be needed I started to learn the language and wait for the next admission session
Congratulations bro! cool

I went to a language school. I also utilized a language app alongside podcasts and some reading materials and some italki. Language apps can take you far though at least with vocabulary. I know someone who passed German B2 with only Duolingo as his resource. Mexico isn't easy to get to. Their universities don't even reply you. I tried with emails and calls and I couldn't get any information. I prefer mexico to Brazil though but getting in contact with Mexican universities to even make applications is hard

Going the study route to Mexico tends to be excruciating

Why did you choose Chile over Brazil?

I believe Brazilians are more hospitable to Africans than Chile.

The Chilean passport is 100 times better than the Brazilian passport. Chile is also richer and safer to live in than Brazil

Ecuador is a shithole. Peru is okay but I won't advise anyone to go there. They are dying on the Atacama desert trying to enter Chile illegally.

I don't if it costs more than the German route, but the end justifies the cost. No one is told to wait a year before getting an appointment to attend an interview at the German embassy (visa issuance is not guaranteed o). The PR is rest assured and the most juicy of it all, the Chilean passport affords one access to the US and Canadian labour markets as if the applicant is a citizen. No H1B or LMIA issues.

Also, Spanish is way easier to learn and has more speakers in rich places (unlike French) than German.
