These are the main issues holding Nigeria in the jugular at the moment. Boko Haram terrorists in the North East, the bandits of the North West and Niger State, the herders/farmers clashes of Benue and Plateau and criminality in Kogi and Nasarawa states in North Central, the IPoB separatist of the South East, the crude oil thieves of the South-South and the ritual killings-for-fame-and-money in the South West Excerpts from Vanguard News. Where is the issues in the NE and NW could be attributed to poverty according to an interview granted by Obasanjo... Herders and farmers could be due to survivalism and land management which could mean is related to poverty as well IpoB separatist in the east could be due to perceived marginalisation. Crude oil thieves in SS could be due to resources country... Ritual killings-for-fame-and-money in the South West Of all the issues state, only the ritual killings in the SW is not related to any major demand by a group. Other demands can be solved by government though proper channels, but how can the case of SW be solved. ![]() |

How it be explained that the acclaimed most educated and sophisticated region will be doing these? These have become social malady for the region... ....the funniest thing is that nobody has called for a regional discourse on these to curb the menace. |

Fejoku:I tend to agree with you... The region due to its closeness th Lagos has all it needs... Close to Seaport, international airport, multi national offices, Oil depots, health institutions, good schools..rail services...yet they do these on a daily basis.. Imagine they are like the Igbos, Hausas, Kanuris, Beroms etc, etc...that lack these FG induced amenities... Hell would have let loose in the region... They will be mining living skullllllssss to survive... |

Fejoku:As can be seen the NL resident online thugs from that region like Helinues, Ttalk, Tupak8, Antimarxist, etc..will never be a part in discussing this social and economic impact of this.. If the thread was about dickkkkkkk measuring...they would flood here telling you that Oshogbo IGR is bigger than all `SE cities put together... Or about Obi... ![]() |

Fejoku:He listed 10,000 things and you only had to argue on the least point there Now, I'm forced to believe that you guys are actually obsessed with the SW Naturally speaking. how does the ritual practise in any region in Nigeria affects the growth and Economic progress of the country Later dem go talk say Africans no dey think...how person wey go school go believe say to kill human being for one place go affect the whole country for some aspect wey relate to Economy No wonder the whites think we're uncivilized... DevilsEqual:You just aptly described yourself. The simple point the op was saying is that other regions have an understandable reason for whatever violence/crime happening there except the South West. You guys always claim to have the highest IGR, biggest economy because of Lagos and sophistication yet barbaric things like rituals and skull mining still remains huge in your region. My response to it is simply wickedness and greed. If I had said it is poverty, you could have stated what I wrote earlier about the SW and debunked me. If I had said it was due to laziness, you would have still rejected it. This is why I concluded that it must be because of greed and wickedness. Go back to school and pay more attention to analysis. |

DevilsEqual:Now let's debate... At least you can see the grievances of their regions.. Now how can you discuss why you do your crimes there when you have things done by the FG more than every other region. You should be swimming in opulence... But no... You are still dragging with the deprived regions.. That's the point.. It has nothing to do with obsession... I remember the post about the SE being the poorest region... I didn't see you cry about that..even when all knew SE can never be the poorest region... How is Achebe your nighhtmare ![]() |

Fejoku:Your conclusion is still dumb...The premises for your Argument is flawed In as much as i wouldnt turn this to a tribal case by insisting on the fact that a fair cases of this ritual and other crimes u listed have been noticed in some other parts of the country...I would still say that this cases of Ritual killings is so negligible that most people in most part of SW havent even seen this in their vicinity for years or maybe ever before That cant be said about other regions where the killings going on there is almost an every week thing and this too happens in mass...Bar the SS, the few cases of ritual killings reported in the SW is not enough to term it "A crime ravaging the SW" More like u cant say the mass shootings and killings occuring in U.S isnt enough to call it "A country under chaos" Cursed be Achebe in his grave |

DevilsEqual:Chinualumogu Achebe's soul will continue to rest in peace. Even when this thread has nothing to do with him, you still went ahead to invoke him while raining curses on him. Shame on you. My premise is very right just like my conclusion. My premise is hinged on the SW being the odd one out of the other regions. Gradually, the region has declined on the area of educational excellence. Toutism and brigandage is on the steady incline because it has proven to be more rewarding for the leaders of the region. Virtually all the regions in the South are into yahoo but the SW trumps in yahoo plus which is why it is rated an epidemic in the region. My conclusion remains the same. Greed and wickedness is the reason behind the ugly incidents of ritual killings and skull mining. Even the dead are not allowed to rest in peace in South Western Nigeria. It is a shame. |

Fejoku:Don't mind those lazy people... They have taken their evil to Lagos... BREAKING: Kidnapped oil workers regain freedom. https://thenationonlineng.net/breaking-kidnapped-oil-workers-regain-freedom/ Every region has a reason for increase in crime rate.... ..but SW has no reason... They were never marginalized... Since 1999 they have has tow presidents and one VP... July 3 2023 yet, they are dragging crime with other regions that are not close to them in FG induced develpoments. The are extremely greedy...as there is no cause for these. |
