BREAKING: Witnesses absent as INEC’s defence of Tinubu’s victory starts on shaky note

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday in Abuja began its defence of the February 25 presidential election on a shaky note, with none of its three witnesses present at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPEC)

Contrary to the scheduled activities of the Court, INEC, which conducted the disputed election and billed to open defence, came to the court without any witness.

Its lead counsel and former President of the Nigeria Bar Association NBA, Abubakar Balarabe Mahmood SAN, informed the court of his plan to call three witnesses to counter the allegations of the Labour Party (LP) and its Presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi.

He, however, lamented that none of the witnesses was in court due to domestic reasons for him to open the defense. The senior lawyer pleaded with the court to bear with him and applied for adjournment of his defense.

Dont blame them. To defend or corroborate the criminality of tinubu or INEC in the presidential election you must need to first destroy your conscience and sign off to be an enemy of God.

Criminal mandate and electoral fraudsters can never have any concrete defense to put up. The judiciary is the eye watch now. Hope his cassava and agbado munching zombies will go to defend him in court as they always do here?

Which person with clear conscience will come out to defend the obvious charade by INEC that cost us all N300b and they failed to deliver credible polls, see how the whole country looks like its continuous mourning because people lost hope and faith in our elections, please note that elections is not all about the presidential polls but from councillors, Chairmen, Governors etc

It is never going to be easy defending all the weighty allegations against Tinubu as far as the conspiracy and criminality of INEC on the 2023 presidential election is concerned. Let see how INEC defend issues like the heavily disputed results of Rivers, Benue, Niger, Cross River, Plateau among many.

The defense that was supposed to start immediately after PDP and labour party closed their cases last month.
