I've been a guest on nairaland since I was young (around 2016) before joining finally and as at then the tribal slurs weren't this much but it's worse now.
I was speaking to my friend who's not even a Nigerian the other day and something brought about nairaland, he accesses this forum and he thinks Nigerians hate themselves because of the way we engage ourselves on this forum.
You can't go under any post on the front page without seeing a tribalistic comment.
I really hope something can be done about this as this is very bad to national unity in general.

Unfortunately nothing can be done until the bigots die off let's say in 30 to 50 years time, hopefully the new generation of Nigerians will have purged themselves of hate towards one another.

It wasn't like this before now.

Buhari, a hate-filled ethnoreligious bigot, came to spread it further and institutionalize it.

It won't be well with those who brought that animal to rule a country as culturally and ethnoreligiously diverse as Nigeria.
