it was a technical move.. what Elon is doing is stopping competitors from pulling data from twitter. I'm suspecting, that's what meta hadone with the creation of Thread. Land on the homepage and you're greeted with
2- 3 tweets
Scroll a little to see what your tweeps are tweeting, you're seeing maybe 10 - 20.
From a list of 20 trends, check 7 - 12 trends....you won't really know whats trending because many people will be advertising their products , so you'll have to see maybe 10 -12 tweets
All this in less than 30 mins
Come back like 3 hours later , rinse and repeat .

The data part is just the technical aspect and most Twitter users are not concerned about all that, they just want to be able to login at anytime, check as many tweets as possible and while away time... when you take that from them , you're indirectly sending them off to any available competitor. Threads may not eventually be as successful as twitter but just look at those numbers. The more numbers threads gets , the more they'll try to make the app better and icludd more features and that's what social media thrives on - numbers and engagement.

Abeg no let me laugh…. Just a bit on the side….. BUA was literally chased

out of the cement business to pave way for Dangote to become a monopoly. There is a lot more but I don’t think anyone who isn’t in the know of the inner workings is ready for such a conversation because it is a heck of a long one.
