Don't say Nigerians, say Biafrans. Many of us wrote JAMB before that upcoming Yahoo woman wrote her own with a forged result. Those of us that know Prof Oloyede since his days at UNILORIN know his competency and integrity. He is the one that exposed those JAMB crooks that worked under PDP regime where snakes dey swallow money grin

The way we are discrediting JAMB, we should stop complaining then about countries asking us to write ielts because we can speak English. We can’t be disparaging our educational institutions because of criminals.

This is not wise at all

I wrote jamb 4 times and passed all but no admission then. Why cant jamb allow these students to use 1 jamb for at at least 3 years, why write yearly even if you've already passed before

This makes a lot of sense... But, how else will they make their money??! grin

Same reason why IELTS expires in just 2 years (If they even have their way, it will expire in just a year)... Money must be made! I mean, it's not like someone's English proficiency has an expiry date!

I believe our institutions should also be held accountable for students' failures. Take a look at my post on the results of Deeper Life High School, where you can see the impressive high scores achieved by the students.

If JAMB is considered fraudulent, how is it possible that students from a specific school attained such high scores, especially considering that they wrote the exams in different centers?

Good teachers, good teaching methods.

Plus, once one student does it in one set(gets highest score in Jamb), pressure gets exerted on the remaining students to 'follow in the footsteps of the star'

Story. Mmesoma is a criminal and whether jamb cyber security is topnotch or not, we shouldnt justify this

In addition to that, 1.6m students wrote jamb and less than 50% would be admitted, hows that Jambs fault
Are they supposed to double as NUC then in turn force students into Uni when there isnt enough space?

By the way, this guy keeps writing like a man who grew up in the vatican city of the most Holy, An average Nigerian is a terrible human and those corruption loving civil servants are just a reflection of what the masses are capable of doing...He should start making things straight from his end

Not to talk of an Educational Institution where snakes swallowed 36M NGN.....in full glare of the Jamb Registrar...... grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin. JAMB should be disbanded, and a thorough Education vetting Agency that considers the capacities of each region put in place. How can you set the same exam for Nkiru in Enugu and Adamu in Yola? or Chinedu in Obosi with Sikiru in Ogbomosho? YOU are just setting up hitherto buddies to be sworn frenemies because capacity differs.......

As far as I am concerned, JAMB is one of the few parastatals still working, it may not be perfect, we need to call a spade a spade. As a person from the eastern extract of Nigeria, we should not be seeing everything as direct attack on us. The rate of 'runs' and special centres on WAEC and JAMB in Anambra expecially is shamefully very high and called for real scrutiny and immediate intervention. Those students coming top every year cannot defend their results if called. We should tell ourselves the truth.

Intelligent students has no business with cheating... only those that have no confidence do cheat ... Think

Don't be surprised that mmesoma is not the only one with glitch issues... her own is everywhere cos it gave her the highest number and it was identified, there can only be one top scorer ... what of if some others dint notice theirs cos the scores wasn't noticeable.... she might not have been the only one that got that print ... INEC failed Nigerians after billions was spent and they blamed it on system glitch due to the number of large voters .... so y can't it also happen to JAMB that also have large number of candidates...

The only reason this has gotten out of hand is because of the particular tribe that eminates bitterness, jealousy and envy .... they defended the criminal old man in asorock that has fake certificates and credentials, but condemn the little girl that is as confused as any teenager will be with what's going on cos she did no wrong

There was no glitch anywhere.

Mmesoma is a criminal and that's it. No amount of wailing from south east will change that

Baba, 1 crate of Heineken for you. To add to your point: JAMB should standardize the examination and allow the score an individual gets valid for 2-4 years for any admission s/he wish to undertake.

We trust jamb and Mmesoma is the one that should be made to pay for her crimes

When will the Police arrest and prosecute Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme for forging her JAMB result.

Mmesoma Ejikeme is 19 years old hence an adult. She has done the crime, she must do the time

Who and who do not trust JAMB? Nigerians don’t trust JAMB because of a fraudulent girl that manipulated her result or another one?

The problem with Nigeria is just tribalism. Majority of people supporting the girl today would have opposed her if she were from a different tribe.

The most nauseating in this is Soludo commissioning almost 4 professors for fact finding mission. Fact finding for what? For a fake JAMB slip that even a renegadee can detect at first glance.

Fake result no doubt, but it may be far beyond that. There may even be a syndicate churning out fake results.
So nothing out of place, Soludo setting up a panel of Enquiry. As for appointing Professors, they may just be the only people the society may have some level of trust in.

OP,is this your own formulations or you just want to kill anything you see in govt?
Are you discussing on the JAMB before or JAMB now and why can't you diffrentiate between the good, the bad and the urgly in our system? Must everything be condemned!
Since the Current JAMB Registrar came on board ( four years ago or so),he has built himself sterling quality that have perturbed even the most Corrupt MIDAS,whose stock in trade is to steal our Common Wealth and claimed it was 'swallowed by Snake)
The point is that there is no reason for comparing what happend in JAMB with the Nigeria elections unless you are just an agent, who can't move away from elections that is already won and dusted.
Keep an open mind when you are in Public discourse as JAMB is not a political entity that is up for an election!
Kudos to JAMB goodwill

Baba relax, the man that wrote this article is not Igbo. So there's no tribalism here. There are few government agencies (in this country) that one can trust wholeheartedly. Was it not this same JAMB where a mystery snake swallowed some money some years back?

stop comparing nonsense.

There is no perfect electoral body anywhere in the world. Not even in America. It is normal for people to always doubt electoral if election didn't go their way. Nobody likes losing.

How is jamb and inec related? Why exactly can't jamb be trusted?

Make it make sense.
