I still wonder why most people don't like to pay their rent until they are embarrassed.
It is sheer wickedness by most tenants.

When you do the calculation by dividing your rent by numbers of days in a year you will be very surprised how so cheap rents are compared to the amount you spend on USELESS things daily.

If you are paying for example #30,000 a year, that is just #82 a day not up to a hundred. If you are paying #150,000 a year that is #410 per day. If #500,000 per year, that is #1370 per day. If #1,000,000 per year, that is only #2,720 daily.

People spend this on a daily basis on things they can't even account for because it is chicken change. grin

You will find a person who makes thousands of Naira a day but will still be dragging with their landlord to pay their rent of #30,000 which is just #82 per day.

That is why the main challenge about the student loan is the mindset of many who already have the intention that they will not pay even if the have the best jobs on earth.

How do you explain why so many who the government of Nigeria both on State level and Federal sponsor them abroad to go study with the agreement that they will pay back not in cash but service to the nation by coming back to the country and investment their knowledge and experience while being paid for their service to the nation. Majority do not come back home, they navigate their way afterwards and far away from the country that gave them such opportunity to grow.

Paying back the student loan is very easy if you really intend to but just like the rents, majority will not want to pay back even if the have best of jobs.

That is illegal. Only a court of law or a designated agency like an arbitration board can conduct an eviction.
I’m not a tenant btw. But truth must be told

What truth how can someone build a house with his money then tenant wouldn't pay so the landlord should wait for court of law before he can get his money or property back, most people feed from these properties failure to pay it means you're bringing hardship on them.

Well as a landlord all my tenants do have a signed agreement to pay their rent 6 months to expiration failure to do that 6 months is your quit notice staring you at the face, 3 months to go another paper served you to vacate the property for repairs, you cannot bring your hardship to spoil my own .

When I become a landlord my rules would be easy.
1)pay before u pack in(together with damages but damages are refundable if u corporate)
2) pay 2weeks or immediately after the expiration of ur first payment, failure to do this comes with a readily typed quit notice served with police consent.
3) After u exhaust ur quit notice time grace then I am coming with a police and a carpenter to remove ur roof under the pretense that I want to renovate my house(the damages fees u paid will cater for the police and the carpenter, so ur damages fees is not refundable again)
Na u go use ur hand pack ur load laslas

The tenant must be very stubborn, although things are really hard this time, the landlord should have mercy.

Because it's good for you doesn't mean it's good for everyone
