I hope Tinubu does this .... keep soldiers in the barracks and away from civilians.

@ topic. The victim was not an ordinary soldier ... he had rank . higher rank greater power ... his ego cannot allow him to be seen waiting among ordinary civilians .... waiting for a train driven by an ordinary civilian to go by.

Exactly how some of these uniformed men on bike behave.Sometimes,you see them on road and they think the uniform is immune to road accident.

If that was to happen in where I am the director, the manager in charge of HSE will be fired. No excuses because that is fatality and the company's profile degraded for his/her nonchalance attitude to futuristic accidents.

Do you know what a PEAR chart is? You know the indices? Happens, never happens, happens occasionally, happens all the time? World wide accidents with trains happen frequently. There are actually youtube channels dedicated to them. Featuring drivers trying to beat the train.

There is very little you can do as a control for irresponsible adults in full control of their faculties. Did you not read about the lagbus collision with a train? They were begging the driver and the man pushed on?

So maybe as the director you can give us a plan for mitigating the risk when a driver decides to cross when a train is coming.

The one thing l observed is thst,NRC has not done much to prevent this avoidable death.In a civilized world,crossing rail line is like trying the impossible. In fact, once the rail is on its way,nothing can cross any intersection.

The NRC should be responsible for whatever safety measures that are required to avert such occurrences.

Mad and Insane people need to be protected.

In the 90s, there used to be a Horizontal Barricade That comes Down to Block the Rail-Road intersection as soon as the Train appeared quite a Distance away....
it's no longer there.

it should be Brought Back

There is nothing like block sucking demon on the rail track., we Nigerian's no dey listen., even common man wey dey use leg sef no go gree use pedestrian bridge not to talk of someone on bike or driving cars,bus or whatever.

The man wan try fast and furious on rail track., he can't say he no hear the loud sound from the train horn.

If na normal bus driver now, soldier's go don put the innocent man for gaurd room and panel beat him life...

A little patience goes a long way in all we do.,his death is actually avoidable.., but if it is time to go, who i'm i to question God?

Nigeria is a terrible country. Why won't NRC put safety measures in place to avert this deaths? Simply build a cross road that prevents people getting close when the train is passing. It's a simple technology but corruption will not allow Nigeria to survive except we get genuine leaders.
