President Bola Tinubu has given marching orders to the Nigerian Navy to DESTROY a massive ship intercepted by the Navy on the high seas with stolen Nigerian oil. Some reckon a MISSILE or a BOMB might be deployed against the ship after it is towed far into the ocean by the Nigerian Navy. It is a move guaranteed to send shivers down the spine of oil thieving cartels from here on out. Kudos Mr President. Nigeria Intercepts Vessel With Stolen Crude, To Destroy it Reuters July 10, 2023 LAGOS, July 10 (Reuters) - Nigeria's state-owned oil firm NNPC Ltd said on Monday an 800,000-litre (211,338-U.S. gallon) vessel carrying stolen crude had been intercepted offshore while heading to Cameroon and would be destroyed as a deterrent to oil theft. Crude theft from pipelines and wells in the Niger Delta has hobbled the country's output in recent years and is one of the biggest challenges to confront new President Bola Tinubu. NNPC said the oil was stolen from a well in south western Ondo state. The MT Tura II vessel was owned by locally registered Holab Maritime Services Limited and had no valid documentation for the oil, the company said. Holab could not be reached for comment on numbers listed on its website. "Destroying vessels involved in transporting stolen crude oil is of paramount importance as a strong deterrent," NNPC said. https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/nigeria-says-intercepts-vessel-with-stolen-crude-destroy-it-2023-07-10/ |

How did they successfully load it without challenge is a case study of it's own. But kudos to the nigeria Navy and army good job. |

freemanq:Easier said than done. Do you think the people behind this thing leave paper trails? How do you convict them without evidence? These guys have like a hundred people between them and the actual perpetrators. None of the men on that seized ship know who the real orchestrators of the shipment are. So how do you convict them? They will come with their SANs to court. You'll just be wasting your time. |

Very good. They are able to steal oil because they have ships. Once you loose that expensive ship, how will you steal crude oil? People that lease their ships to oil thieves will also have a rethink when they realize they stand a chance of loosing the ship. |

We need list of names behind the theft. We need to know how long they have been in the business and their collaborators. We need to watch when they get prosecuted and sent to jail. This is how reasonable citizens ask questions from their government. Destroying is a good step but pertinent questions should be asked. |

Good but it does not ends there. How did this vessel sailed into Nigerian waters, loaded crude products and depart without being detected? Who own the vessel in question? How come it has been operating surreptitiously for years pilfering Nigerian crude oil without it being identified? Who are those behind this sabotage if not top people highly connected in government? More than destruction, a high powered enquired ought to have been conducted, the culprits isolated and punished severely before embarking on this economic wastage. |

SpecialAdviser:Calm down first, one step at a time, these things would take few days to weeks of investigation bus as per obi-whatever, its a sin to praise a govt that does things others havent even done before I expect him to fish out those perpetrators too... but not at that exact spot |

This is how you know you have elected a poor thinker , what happens to forfeiting it to either the NNPC or Nimasa or better still taking your crude out and selling it then use the money to build more schools |
| Re: Tinubu Orders DESTRUCTION Of Ship Caught With Stolen Oil by FourQu: 8:05am On Jul 11, 2023 |
SalamRushdie:Exactly. All the government does is destroy. |
| Re: Tinubu Orders DESTRUCTION Of Ship Caught With Stolen Oil by FourQu: 8:08am On Jul 11, 2023 |
DevilsEqual:So we should pride the government for destroying a perfectly functioning oil carrying ship? When last did you hear of other better countries like the USA or UK destroying properties belonging to convicts or smugglers? They always confiscate them and convert them to government use. The government that your types supported yesterday, today and tomorrow will be a wasteful government. |
| Re: Tinubu Orders DESTRUCTION Of Ship Caught With Stolen Oil by SpecialAdviser(m): 8:08am On Jul 11, 2023 |
DevilsEqual:Well your myopic mindset will always take hold of your proper reasoning. That is what you get when you become agabdo surporter. What is wrong in pressing the government with those pertinent questions? This is the reason those Oyibo will always be more reasonable than you. In some countries by now they have taken to street to demand answers from the government. But the same improper reasoning that people like you allowed in Buhari administration have helped these evils to grow. Did you even believe before now there is oil theft in Nigeria? I remembered how Obi gave the narration and wondered why these evil happen unchecked in Nigeria. I fact he is the one that made the evil government start discussing it. Without pressure from Obidients, your drug lord would have paid no attention to doing things like this. So rest. |

FourQu:You dullard, i only responded to that dumbos claim that he needed the names of those behind thee crime ans didnt even mention if destroying the ship was good or bad Respond to what i said and not quote what i didnt write |
| Re: Tinubu Orders DESTRUCTION Of Ship Caught With Stolen Oil by DevilsEqual(m): 8:56am On Jul 11, 2023 |
SpecialAdviser:Dude, youre the iillogical one here, i even reiterated that i expected him to fish out those behind the crime but if not that your deductive reasoning is defective, u should know there was no way he could have fished them out immediately as the perpetrators would prolly not leave trails onshore and proper investigative measure needs to be taken with some cues to be able to lay hands on those thieves But as per Obidient logic, the one with a poor analytical mindset that lends support to failures like Obi, GRV and Mmesoma, you actually expect the govt to fish out those crooks first before releasing this important info to the public So govt should delay the news till those crooks are arrested first... Sometimes i wonder if obimumu people actually did basic philosophy in school |

Why not scrap it, cut it to bits and melt it and use the revenue |
| Re: Tinubu Orders DESTRUCTION Of Ship Caught With Stolen Oil by SpecialAdviser(m): 9:12am On Jul 11, 2023 |
DevilsEqual:Lol. Did I condemn the government? Nay. Did I say government may not investigate? Nay. Do you understand why the citizens press the government on an issue? You think the anything will come out of this judging from the past experiences? If you are brainy enough, you would know the importance of pressuring the government with those pertinent questions. It is this myopic mindset you guys had in the past about asking Buhari pertinent questions that made him finish Nigeria. How did Ikoyi money saga go? Stay quiet because you support Tinubu expecting any tangible outcome from this. You guys are the real enemies of Nigeria. Shame |

Chimarto:The crude oil will be evacuated first into holding tanks first A 200000 barrel ship is not a small ship |
| Re: Tinubu Orders DESTRUCTION Of Ship Caught With Stolen Oil by baralatie(m): 9:24am On Jul 11, 2023 |
Baronthecelebri:To seive is more expensive for the fg! It is cheaper to evacuate to holding tanks and destroy it |
| Re: Tinubu Orders DESTRUCTION Of Ship Caught With Stolen Oil by 2mch(m): 9:38am On Jul 11, 2023 |
It’s better to destroy because they will go and bribe someone in the back to release it and they are back in business in a few months. Destroying will really hit their pocket. I am sure FG will evacuate the oil on the ship. |
