Nigerians call on authorities to intervene as lady kick starts Snail-A-Thon during which she'd be frying and cooking snail-related meals for 200 hours to set a Guinness World Record.

Over the last few months, Nigerians have taken to using every means accessible to them to set one Guinness World Record or the other.
While the pace had been set by Hilda Baci who began the Cook-a-Thon trend in Nigeria, many a citizen have brought up different ideas.
A video currently making the rounds online captures a lady who began a 200-hour Snail-A-Thon during which she'd be frying nonstop for 8 days.
Many have, however, considered the trend to be spinning out of control and have called on the authorities to do something about the recent GWR frenzy.

Sickness....Nigerians have become nemesis of GWR. This one just declared war on snails. Sounds more like covenish competition..... next one will be Octopus-A-Thon. People should be careful of what they eat in the name of awuf. As the competition don touch phylum it will surely touch squids

What is wrong with us? Especially ladies, all they want is the kind of publicity, fame, acceptance and support that Hilda got during her cook a thon. This is getting old and embarrassing, must we all head in one direction? Look at the lady that passed out during her attempt to break one of the GWR. Abeg, make una stop this, other countries have GWR holders, how many of their citizens are competing so hard to shadow the success of one of theirs so soon after becoming a GWR holder.

Well, I don't think it's a contest to Hilda's enterprise since it's snail specific. However, is she prepared for it? Has she gone through the rules?

1. Snails are expensive now. If you come to gate, or oje market Ibadan 6 big snails cost 8k.

Now imagine cooking snails for 200hrs . Waste of resources.
