Very unserious Army chief.

Why tip off IPOB by annoncing his plans?

These people are not serious about tackling insecurity.

Biafra agitation got to become armed agitation in 2021 or so

Before then did the army Conduct themselves well? .. The youths massacred on ABA, obigbo , only, Enugu were they gorilla fighters?

If anything picking up arms had slowed killing of igbos by army
Back then, SE governors were not on the same page with Nnamdi Kanu, as they saw him as a threat to their position as governors. So, they invited the army. What do you think will happen when Army is invited to restore peace? Death and destruction. It doesn't matter whether the protesters are armed or not.

Why do you think Emmanuel Macron of France refused to invite the Army during the recent protests that engulfed his country in the wake of the fatal shooting of a 17 year old man? It's simply because the Army will start shooting at those protesters.

So no, the Army has not moved into the theatre just because it is afraid IPOB has picked up arms, but rather because they've not been given the go ahead by the governors. Army majorly deal with external threats as they must preserve the territorial integrity of the nation. But for them to intervene internally, they need a series of permissions from the state governors.

They've started complaining already.

This is why I insist the federal government completely hands off this matter. Let the state governments and locals deal with the issue themselves.

There's absolutely no way Abuja would intervene that these nutjobs wouldn't use the exercise as another bait to recruit more idiots into the terrorist group.
exactly.

The best Nigeria should do is to allow them do what they desire for themselves.
Every intervention from outside their enclave will be skewed as another stories for their future generations.
They will surely call it genocide against Nigerian fake jew.

They should as a matter of urgency vacate our high ways...high ways are not criminal hide outs...if they must they should just Mount by the road side and monitor things from there.
The amount of hold up they cause on eastern roads is alarming!!

Simon is a military person, so he understands the risk deeper. Kanu was more of a speaker, with advisors and structure that could advice him on risk.

Thank you. And when Finland concludes their investigation and it's discovered that it was a Nigerian covert operation that killed Ekpa, a resident in their country, what do you think will happen? Especially with Finland as a member of EU and NATO?
What will be the implication of this operation on innocent Nigerians, and even black Africans in general, relocating to the EU?

IMPLICATIONS. CONSEQUENCES. These are the reasons FG can't do shit about Ekpa in Finland.
There will be NO implications for Nigerians and Africans in the EU. And NATO won't bomb Nigeria. Stop catastrophising.

These things happen. Yes, there will be consequences - but it'll be mostly recall of ambassadors and all. At worst, a couple of sanctions. If I were the president, the main reason I'd hesitate is because of the political and rule of law ramifications of ordering a hit on a Nigerian citizen.

When problems are out to be solved, they should start from the root of it, the Nigerian government and the citizens don't learn from the past, which is one of our problems. When the call for the arrest of Kanu was all over by the past government they were told that arresting Kanu will not solve the problem because they are hundreds of Kanu in IPOB they form deaf ears, is Kanu not in custody? Ekpa has risen to be worst than Kanu, arrest Ekpa another person is waiting on the wing to take over. Again arresting Ekpa will not solve the problem. Nnamdi Kanu was with flags singing and dancing in the streets of Southeast demanding self-determination for Biafra and the Buhari government sent the Nigerian Military to kill, arrest, jail, and tagged them, terrorists, meanwhile Boko haram members who have been killing, bombing, and committing all kinds of atrocities in the North that were caught were being trained with the taxpayer's money. Nigeria is not a nation, Nigeria was built on a shaky foundation to me it was built on sand. Until we all come together on one table to correct the faulty foundation Nigeria was built on and agree on how Nigeria will be a nation there will be no peace and progress in the Land. It is not late we will rise if we do the right thing.

Finally!!!! I stand with Major General Lagbaja on this order and any Igbo person who finds a problem with this is a BASTARD and enemy of peace in Alaigbo.

Simon Ekpa is a bastard and his end will be painful and dramatic. Every terrorists in Igboland must be wiped out, shoot them all in the head execution style and display their dirty accursed cadavers for the world to gloat on, I'll personally make contacts with willing hands across the SE to assist the army with local intelligence gathering so these pigs can be smoked out of their hideouts. At least they will stop tormenting poor market women and school children and finally face real men with guns like them.

Gidgiddy I know you will find a way to defend your terrorist mentor, so fuvk you and your terrorist sympathisers in advance

To me it is better to release Kanu and give him a stake as given to other agitators like Asari and Igboho. Invasion is like treating symptom whereas the disease stays untreated . The single reason for rise of Ekpa and unrest in Southeast is arrest and detention of Kanu . If Kanu is released, Simon Ekpa's influence will die immediately and the war by his supporters will cease.
Man you dey surprise me.

kindly go and watch Jan 24-27 2021 video orlu ESN vs Nigerian Army.
They are numerous videos and pictures on the Internet.
That was only one time ESN had a fight with Nigerian Army.
Funny enough ESN had the upper hand.
I would bet on ESN anyday if war starts.
