Instead of giving 12 million family N8000 monthly which it won't still reach the poorest why can't FG collaborate with states and get at least (100) coasters buses for each state and maintain old or slide cost increase of previous transport amount.

Any stipend meant for the poor hardly reach the poorest rather politician will capture & turn it to political empowerment for their political cronies/ relatives.

I thought I was the only one thinking in this direction. What can 8000 do for Nigerians? But it will go a long way if the transport system is strengthened. Everyone will benefit

You will not see people in this kind of trend that requires critical thinking and brainstorming. But everyone will be here when it concerns tribal sentiments

#8000 can't feed a family of 4 for up to 2 weeks in this present day Nigeria. The naira purchasing power is terrible. Prices of some goods have increase this week

Wages and salaries needs to be increase, I wander what's taken the government so long on increasing wages and salaries

I support you view bro. People should say no to money that won't reach them, but instead palliative should be inform of government fuelled buses, which will carry people at subsidized rate. If well maintained job is created and people will be happy. Go to europe and study how they decongest their transport system using trams and buses. I supported Tinubu but on money sharing that won't get to the poor, I say no.

Could lead to counter productive by removing the livelihood of millions of others in transportation sector.

This 500 billions that is about to end up in pocket of big men should have been invested in agriculture through heavily modernised mechanize farming for abundance food supply. Or better still, use it to import stable food like rice, corn, veg oil, indomie and other basic needs at subsidise rate for that 6 months.

...why not just return subsidy so everyone can have peace. 8k is money for crate of beer now; is that suppose to alleviate peoples poverty?

Anyway, it just shows these guys have no idea the hardship in the land...Like Buhari, like Tinubu. Too bad!

Even at this, if you are not a card carrying member of this party, you won't partake in this sharing formula. It wud ve been better if used on buses for transport as mentioned earlier.
This is my take

The sharing of money is not the best policy for now due to reduction in the value of naira and it will also further increase inflation rate.

I think what Nigeria needs now is reduction in the prices foods ,goods and services.

Govt should reduces taxes on all essential commodities and items in order to encourage small ad medium scale enterprises to spring up .

Nigeria needs affordable foods to survive this harsh economy
