Twitter announced on Thursday that it will be sharing ad revenue with select content creators on the platform. Verified users with 5M+ impressions in 3 months and Stripe accounts can join the program. How the Program Works Twitter shares a portion of the revenue generated from ads displayed in the replies to creators’ tweets. The amount of revenue shared is based on the number of impressions the ad receives and the engagement rate of the reply thread. Why Twitter is Doing This Twitter is doing this in order to attract and retain more content creators on the platform. Content creators are increasingly important to Twitter’s bottom line, as they drive engagement and attract new users.
