Let them enjoy Thier idol worship now before Thier masters will take over fully , Islam is spreading like wild fire in the SW already we have more than three million mosques and counting so it's just a matter of few years. |

But why do people from Ilorin use ARMULETS. Majority/All of them might not be idol worshipers, but what I find disturbing is: when we were young, our friends’s parents used to have huge jazz/armulets/ brooms at the entrance of their houses. Zonefree: |

This is why I love Yoruba people. If you offend them, they will not exchange uneccessary words with you. But, they will treat your fvck in such a brutal and lasting manner. |

Why is ONI not in the middle of that picture? Oni should please stop attending all functions, especially when is due position will not be recognised. He attended a function, where some so called celebrities were shaking his hands. Please someone should tell him to stay in his Palace. Even in the Palace, he is not supposed to see everyone that come to the Palace. |

Freedom of religion does not include freedom to publicly change humans into terrorists. Freedom to practice Islam and Christianity should be restricted to private and not public spaces. |

tundein18:Every religion forbids idolatry. To traditionalists, Christianity is alien (idolatry). Every religion forbids hypocrisy. That's the essence of the point. So if you want to do idol, do it with your full chest. No dey use Sunday service cover eye. |

Padipadi:^^^ No he won't. That festival is seen as a direct threat to all the Emir represents. He will not accede to anything that will undermine the throne he sits on. The wording of the press statement says it all really. |
| Re: Lagos Obas Canvass August 20 As Isese Day Holiday by Acidosis(m): 7:04pm On Jul 14, 2023 |
TakeNigeriaBack:So what is Isese? Why does the term "idolatry" bother you? Are you not proud of your chosen form of worship? Or how would you describe a gathering of educated men and women revering new yam, clay, or palm oil? |
| Re: Lagos Obas Canvass August 20 As Isese Day Holiday by TakeNigeriaBack: 7:11pm On Jul 14, 2023 |
Acidosis:Isese is simply honoring the ancestors (Orunmila, Sango, Ogun, Obatala etc) of Yoruba people by remembering their exploits. And using the lessons learnt from them to better the Yoruba people and community. |

Padipadi:^^^ ![]() He may be 'primitive' but underestimate him at your peril. His kinsmen are in charge of the town that is the topic of discussion of this thread. Ilorin is the capital of Kwara and Sulu Gambari is the supreme traditional ruler in that town and the entire state. Never forget that the Emir reigns over a city that is a vassal state of the caliphate that he, Sulu Gambari represents. That is the cold reality. |
