Please what are the questions a first time landlord should ask a new tenant ( very young couple) before renting the house out to them?

You have a tenancy agreement prepare by an agent or a lawyer?

It has been prepared by my lawyer. But my lawyer said i still need to interview them personally and i don't know what questions to ask them. They're a very young couple from the east.

Just a few questions to get a background on them will do.

Questions like; the kind of work they do, where they are from, the religion they practice.

And why they had to move from their current place...

Photocopy of NIN slip
Actual occupation (A professional nurse could be a full time caterer).
Name and address of office/workshop.
Any health challenges (ashtma, hbp)
Address of their hospital
Location of their church/mosque
Persons and numbers to call in an emergency (call to verify and make a note in your diary/
How many kids
How many total occupants
Number of stay at home residents
An idea of when they return home (avoid habitual late night returnees)
Size and intended location of generator and gas cylinder
Number and parking location of vehicle
Name of bank
