There are some women who would rather be home as housewives, and shop for their fantasies and live luxurious lives if their husbands can afford the world.

Your conclusion that it must be a man's decision to compel the wife to be a housewife is just your level of reasoning. I know women who would do nothing even when given huge capital to start businesses. They just want to be home and stay with the kids.

A. To take care of kids and watch over the house. Wait for oga to bring money for house and climb you at night.

B. Housewife of a rich man. You wake up,direct the domestic staff on what to do. They performed all the choices. You go on outings,see movies and social activities during the day. You bond and play with your kids. Read them bed time stories. Pray with them. Wait for oga to return. Welcome him your warmth and care. I envy my cousin who's a stay-at-home mom. Girl is living the life. Which housewife receives a 700k-1M salary per month? That's some tech-bro salary in a month.

Everyone has the right to decide what they want that's preference. Some women love to stay home and raise the kids properly while leaving finance and monetary issues to be handled by their partner, some do it and still work from home and it's their cup of tea. It's very stupid and shallow to say that a house wife is only useful for sex and making babies. Raising kids is a full time job and we wonder most kids aren't functioning properly because u are probably raised by a village house help 24/7 from God knows where. Some don't even have any relationship with their parents but strangers. The greatest contribution to any society is bringing up kids the right way and this can only happen when parents and especially mothers have concrete solid relationships with the kids. Raising a family is more than providing money. Anyone can do that. But not everyone can raise kids to be right with courage, love and respect. Kids are prone to depression lately because of modern standards which debases the family unit and places materialistic values way higher. That u can't or do not conform to raising kids the traditional way doesn't mean the man who does is archaic with a low self esteem like u said. Trying to sound woke without any real substance is lower than the lowest of self worth. U need approval to feel amongst the woke and modern lifestyle while putting ur family in danger as a unit. A woman can work and be a housewife though not full term. She can be full term when the kids are still very little and get back to working after they must have grown to a certain stage. Life is a lot more fluid now. A lot of people do work from home so ur contribution is even very stupid. Being a housewife doesn't make any woman lesser than another person. I really disagree with you, sir. Being a housewife is a full-time profession, thus there is nothing wrong with it. As long as hubby can support his family with the necessities and keep the house safe, there is nothing wrong with a man wanting a housewife and it isn't in anyway bringing down his self-esteem

Nobody ever claimed housewives were dullards nor nonentities; they take care of the family, help their husbands, nuture and educate their kids, which makes the house functioning, which in turn makes society functional. Yes there are ways they can make money for themselves, with handskills like tailoring, hairdressing, making stuffs, baking stuffs, online business etc, they can easily earn some cash from home while building the home.

Lastly, the wife is supposed to only be useful to the hubby first and the children, these should be her top priority after God. Lets forget about modern wokism culture.

Your last line ruined your comment. Raising responsible kids, if that's achieved through being a housewife, is one of the best contributions to a functional society if not the best. What's the essence of attaining career success and winding up with spoilt and useless kids who themselves end up being useless to the society?

I only frown at a full time house wife that is :
1. A wife that was compelled by her husband to stay home against her wish
2. A wife that is compelled to be full time house wife either for lack of skill or laziness


A full time housewives duty is a HARD low paying job with undivided attention focused on raising excellent and highly successful children!


Any woman with SKILL whose husband is comfortable and has in store for her passive income sources is encouraged to be a full time wife

If you will like a full house wife let your potential spouse know from the start of the relationship. Not after trapping a career woman in marriage you will start doing like oloriburuku and remember you want full house wife. There are women who do not mind and would love to be but forcing a woman who spent years in school being trained by her parents and has an ambition to progress in her career or business to be a full time housewife is witch craft. And many do not do it cos they love the woman or cos of kids, they do it for selfish reasons so the woman can be at their mercy and they can treat her like trash knowing she has no stand for herself.

Some so called men who force their wives to be full housewives will even deny her and the children money and food cos they have a misunderstanding then you tell me they want it cos of the children.

If you want a full housewife, it is not just buying food for the house and assuming she does not need money. There is no correct answer to this. It's all about the priority of the family. The priority could be fame, economic freedom, or family. Most times when an individual is on his/her deathbed, the first two doesn't really matter.
