Really a slum and ghetto as shown in the Owerri video below

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbVCEUnPwGY

Though this is from Chino, but facts are: for centuries, these roads have been good for villagers to communicate between one community to the other in Owerri side.
Then came the influx of people from Orlu and Okigwe zones into Owerri side. These native roads of Owerri became overused by unexpected large pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The once smooth native roads became rivers with potholes.
Governors from Orlu zone created the menace of influx of people into the rural areas of Owerri. The disunity in Orlu zone and their politicians bickering with one another would not allow them make any town in their Orlu zone worthy to live in. Their people now build and settle in these Okuku, Ofurola, Irette, Nekede, Ejemekwuru, Obinze, Ohi, etc., rural areas near Owerri.
Gov Uzodinma worsened the situation with now nearly 4 years operation of unknown gunmen and sit at home in Orlu side.

Then president Buhari visited Gov Hope Uzodinma too many times in Owerri, more than he visited any other governor in Nigeria.
Gov Hope Uzodinma visited Buhari in Aso Rock more than any other governor in Nigeria visited Buhari.
But under gov Uzodinma's watch, his Orueast\Orsu \Orlu federal Constituency is reduced to nothingness, with no government development in 4 years; sit at home that stopped in other places then continued in Orlu constituency. Uzodinma was uprooting government establishments in his federal constituency to Owerri federal constituency. Uzodinma's Ebubeagu squad have been using Orlu side for practicals in killing and burning businesses.

Nobody is fighting anyone. It's just one nonentity called Chino who has been causing chaos on Nairaland. He has several accounts on this forum and has even extended his madness to YouTube. Mind you, he always claims to hail from Imo State and says a lot of unprintable things about the state.

Those who don't understand his antics end up replying him. This gets the situation messy. But those who understand him know that the best way to cage him is to ignore him. Sometimes, he creates multiple accounts to reply himself. He's simply a sick child who terribly needs love and seeks attention.

There are 2 people beefing. 1 Is a guy named Desmond Nedu Alaegbu, and the other one In Chinonso (can't remember last name). They make several accounts when one account is ban and attack all Igbo threads. They are both from Anambra. There's no beef, those two are just disturbed and have limited life prospects.

Most of the people causing the beef are from imo state. Those imo disgruntled people usually usually attack Anambra thread and some Anambra guys will retaliate in imo state thread. Imo state people are the problem, they have refused to mind their backward state

There’s no general quarrel between the two states. What happens is that some miserable frustrated imo state indigenes usually attack Anambra thread and then Anambra guys will respond in imo state thread. The problem is the imo state people, once they can stick to their backward state without going to attack other state’s thread there won’t be any issue. You can hardly see any one from Anambra commenting on imo state thread except when imo state indigenes attacked Anambra thread

Uzodimma raises Imo workers’ salary, announces N5 billion loan for farmers

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has announced a new minimum wage of N40,000 for workers in the state to ease the pains caused by the removal of fuel subsidy.

The governor also announced N5 billion revolving loan for farmers, as well as free transportation and medical care for civil servants.

Mr Uzodimma made the announcement during a special meeting with critical Imo stakeholders, on Saturday in Owerri.

The governor said the free transportation, feeding and medical care were for civil servants.

He said other palliatives include the establishment of marketing and commodity boards, mass housing and recruitment of more teachers.

Why Imo charter of equity law is utopian

The Imo State Council of Elders led by a traditional ruler who is also the Obi of Obinugwu, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, had sometime last year, formulated and presented a document which the Council tagged as “Imo Charter of Equity” to the governor of the state, Sen. Hope Uzodimma. The leitmotif of the document is all about the rotation of the governorship seat among the three senatorial districts of the state.

The document, which apparently became an executive bill, was sent to the state House of Assembly. It has been reportedly passed into law as one of the laws of the state. I have not had the privilege of going through the document to understand when the “charter of equity law” is supposed to take effect.

However it has been widely reported that framers of the “Charter of Equity Law” had designed it in such a manner that the incumbent Governor Uzodimma should be allowed to have a second term. When he finishes his tenure in 2027, the seat should shift to the Owerri zone for its own eight years.

After Owerri zone, it should shift to Okigwe zone for another eight years. The framers of the law apparently meant well for the state. They desired for a just, fair and equitable state where one zone should not dominate others in producing the governor.

Rotation of the governorship seat is justifiable but the credibility of the candidates and the constitution of Nigeria take precedence over the Charter

The state has 27 LGAs. Whereas Orlu zone has 12 LGAs, Owerri and Okigwe zones have nine and six LGAs respectively. Since the advent of the Fourth Republic civilian rule, Orlu zone has dominated the seat with a lion’s share of 20 years by the end of the first term of the current administration. Therefore, it’s equitable, fair and just that the seat should move to another zone by the end of Uzodimma’s current administration.

It's only a thief who can now campain with shouting 'Orlu zone' for 2nd term for gov Hope Uzodinma.
In 4 years, gov Uzodinma DELIBERATELY made Orlu descend to the development level it was immediately after the civil war.

Charter of Equity my foot. Charter of Equity when 99% of government institutions of development in Imo state were all tactically cornered by Owerri politicians before return to democracy in 1999, and concentrated in Owerri zone.

You are very uninformed by your nonsense yarns. Owerri is very insecure, yes Upper Iweka is safer than Owerri, that’s why most imo indigenes prefer to live in Onitsha than ever staying in Owerri for one night. By the way who is chino? It is only in Owerri that armed robbers and touts cut people’s hand just to take their watches. Keep deceiving yourself while millions of imo indigenes are running to Anambra to live

Immediately after the Supreme Court pronounced Hope Uzodinma as governor of Imo state in 2020, an association in the name of Orlu zone was quickly formed by prominent people in Orlu zone to shore up support for Uzodinma who was being resisted by rest of Imo state then.
Uzodinma ended up forcing people of Orlu zone out of their homes, hundreds of youths and chiefs in Orlu zone murdered, Orlu the principal city in Orlu zone have not a thing like development from Uzodinma except one street repaired.
Uzodinma relocated many government establishments in Orlu to Owerri. He said he recovered University in Ideato from Rochas Okorocha but there is no road leading to the University.
