You won't understand the forces Tinubu had to overcome enroute his victory. When a chairman of your party is tilting against you, what can you do if you're not a Tinubu?. At a point, Tinubu said he became afraid and confused and would always come to Abeokuta to evoke the spirit of victory. The likes of Elrufai, Ganduje, even Wike have been confident and walking in and out of Aso rock, while Adamu has been sneaking in. While the Governors forum and other organs of the party have been visiting Aso rock frequently, APC NWC led by Adamu has not visited yet. Even at the recently held class of '99, he was missing, because he acted like a 5th columnist.

The sacking of Adamu Abdullahi should not have come as a surprise to many followers of Nigeria politics.

Infact, many Nigerians following politics in Nigeria saw it coming.

It is not a shock.

Even Tinubu has been keeping a distance from Adamu Abdullahi since his emergence as President of Nigeria.

Tinubu is purging the APC party and replacing it with his own trusted men.

Adamu Abdullahi and Ahmed Lawan had never liked Tinubu.

Both northerners worked against the emergence of Tinubu as party flag bearer and as winner of the recently held 2023 presidential election.

The outgoing Apc Chairman, Adamu Abdullahi even regard himself as being senior to Tinubu as far as Nigeria politics is concerned.

Adamu Abdullahi was a member of national assembly as far by as 1979.

This was years before we even started hearing about Tinubu.

What actually brought Tinubu to national limelight was NADECO during the annulment of the 12 June 1993 presidential election believed to have been won by Chief Moshood Abiola.
