I've been saying this since forever. As long as we don't have armed private security, people will do what it takes to get armed police escort. Even aside politicians, try forcing Burna Boy or Femi Otedola's children to go about unprotected.

If your alternative is for these people to be carrying security guards because of kidnapping, who will guard the ordinary citizens who have also been victi6of kidnappings?

Is it a crime for the country to be secure so that an individual wouldnt need to be carrying security guards all over the place?

There are private security outfits, someone whom are licensed to bear arms, all across the country.

Anyone who needs such extra security should patronise them.
