Odibembem:Very good…but unfortunately only on paper. Black people in general world wide need to change their fundamental way of thinking so that there can be communal progress…. With all the hip hop, afrobeats, celebrity gossip, weaves and wigs, g-wagon, EPL, Hennessy, pastors, NYASH, e go hard for them to minimize PLEASURES and do the needful… We shall see.. |

Odibembem:It took just one post of mine to strip away that thin veneer of 'detached and neutral analyst' you're using to try and disguise your intense bigotry and hate! This is what someone wanting to give Ndigbo 'advice' said: Did u just say Ndigbo has massive hydrocarbon? Where exactly? Why do u like to appropriate what's not yours? Tomoro u will say people hate Igbos, it's cos of this coveteous attitude u guys have. Don't know if they teach u from d cradle but it seems to be a cultural problem.......Dude, take that your poisoined and unsolicited advice and firmly shove it where the sun don't shine! The day Ndigbo start taking advice from a cretinous bigot like you is the day i'll recommend they all go see a shrink! Why are you so intent on finding out IPOBs 'pathway to achieving their goal'? Like i asked before....how TF is that any of your business? As a 'one Nigerianist' shouldn't you rather be bothered about the daily preventable deaths and murders occuring all over your country.....coupled with its sinking socio-economic fortunes and the widening schisms between its component parts? Not 'everyone' is evil....just you and your sort! Its a bit rich...a vile Tinubu minion having the temerity to accuse others of 'terrorising voters in the south-east who dared to vote against elupee'! Can you cite instances where and when this happened? I'd likewise provide video and corroborated instances where you Tinubu minions acted true to your thuggish type in the run-up and during the last round of elections! You talk as if any Igbo had alternative to the last elections! The alternative some of us are seeking....you've sworn to do everything, even spill blood, to ensure that alternative is not given a voice! A similar situation would be you arguing that Nigerians PRESENTLY have an alternative to the Fulani imposed 1999 'constitution'! Working with the status-quo forced on you doesn't necessarily mean you endorse it! What proof or logical argument can you put forward to support your daft assertion that 'IPOB were flogging pupils, teachers...and possibly mothers'? When i talk of red lines Ndigbo don't cross, this is a good example of such! Dude, i put it to you that those bastards engaged in that despicable and dehumanising act, recording it and uploading to social-media for anti-IPOB propaganda purposes and for you to jerk off to...THEY ARE NOT IGBO! Their actions are reminiscent of the Fulani python dance soldiers who dehumanised innocent young agitators by asking them to lie down in mud while they took pics to upload on social-media! Your kind cheered them on and asked for more! Finally, you are yet to tell us your own ethnicity! I'm Igbo....from Rivers state, so lets know where you're from in your response! |

The idea that Igbos are most dispersed in Nigeria is wrong but they may be the ones to feel more relaxed in other places. Here that I am in Ilesa the two non Yorubas with shops on this street are two ladies. One from Akwa Ibom and one from Nassarawa. Before you see Igbos you will get to center of the town but I have also met a bus driver and an okada rider. Oba Yoruba say 500k Yorubas are in Anambra alone which is almost ten percent of the population and he might be right. Not to talk of PH. Aside all that the break-up of Nigeria does not mean that anybody will relocate or even lose their jobs at all. They will continue working or doing business wherever they are. Break up is mainly for security reasons to be more orderly promote your culture and etc. There can even be an arrangement to share the oil money but I think the oil should be taken by the UN |

Best way for them to secede. By now most Nigerians wish they can really get their secession though. |

9japride:Niger Delta oil has been feeding Nigeria and still feeding Nigeria till tomorrow, that is South South, emanating from old Bendel state. Nobody is holding you back, you need to do your referendum, first Igbo parliamentarians in national assembly should ask for secession clause to be added to our laws, start from there, then do your referendum. Stop saying allow us to go, or do referendum for us, it sounds ignorant. In house of assembly Igbo lawmakers are there enjoying Nigeria's money none is doing the needful. Why will Nigeria love you so much, you that is so problematic. I don't know if it's ignorance or just trying to feel important, Mr man nobody wants you. |

FacilitatorLekk: You are funny. Your state politicians and all 9ja political cabals know the importance of South East to Nigeria survival. They can't imagine south east leaving the country. You better go and study the south east and get informed. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by 9japride(m): 8:40am On Jul 18, 2023 |
Odibembem: If you say so, the day south east will leave Nigeria will be the most happiest day in the entire world. The celebration will last for more than one month. South eastern Nigeria mindset and ideology of life is totally different from the other zones. It's just because of greed for oil/gas from the political class and also the over sabi personal ambition of Azikiwe that makes it difficult for east to leave. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by Nobody: 9:06am On Jul 18, 2023 |
9japride:In your delusional mind. Look into your house of representatives task them to push a bill for secession to be added to the constitution. Nobody send you oga, una problem too much. Why will anyone like to be with problematic people? Go ask Nnamdi Azikiwe and our founding fathers why they signed the declaration, stop trying to feed your fragile ego. Nobody is holding you back. If you use violence the state will react. Stop feeding your fragile ego with bullshit. Niger Delta, south South is the golden goose. If you go do business in other parts of Nigeria, that is for your own benefits and profit, your business you do, the money is for your pocket. Everyone gets paid in Nigeria, nobody feeds anyone. Nobody loves you or want you, we all came and saw ourselves in this contraption. Niger Delta freedom fighter Isaac Adaka Boro was the first freedom fighter in Nigeria, he faced the Nigerian state, even before ojukwu declared Biafra, he was confronted by Nigerian army, so did MEND and the militant factions, it's normal for government to fight back and refuse violent secession, stop feeding your fragile ego...or you are not aware of the struggles between Niger Delta South South freedom fighters and FG? |

FacilitatorLekk: I don't want to argue with you. You think south is happy being with people who don't value hard work rather benefiting from quota system? The oil/gas, human resources, tourists sites, agricultural Lands, solid minerals etc are enough for the south eastern part of Nigeria. The hatred most regions have towards south east is mainly out of envy. Na Africa we dey and we all understand the mindset of majority of people. So forgot this long talk. I am very sure in future things will work out fine. It will be nice you guys control your zones and south east controls theirs. Normally, south eastern politicians are taking advantage of Abuja connection obstruct to south east having their own country. The political structure is so messed and it will be very difficult for the country to catch up with developed countries. |

| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by lawani(m): 10:23am On Jul 18, 2023 |
9japride:Why are you saying people envy you when nothing shows you are better than them? It is insultive if you don't know. All groups control their land and over seventy percent of real estate therein as well as SMEs, industries and etc. As a person you can be better through self development and as a group it is only by developing the land under your control so there is no reason to say any group is envying another but all group should continue improving themselves as there is always room for improvement. Why should Hausa envy Igbo or vice versa? And etc |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by 9japride(m): 10:38am On Jul 18, 2023 |
lawani: The issue of envy is real. The country needs to come to a round table and everyone should voice out their mind. Nigeria could have been a very powerful country if not for tribalism and religious influences. You need to go to other social medias and see what fellow countrymen are posting about Igbos. The young Igbo people should be cautious when dealing with people who don't wish them well. Those always saying Igbos will never be president are capable of causing bodily harm to a south Easterner if given the opportunity. Such evil minded people if given political power can create policies to limit the growth of Eastern Nigeria. You should understand that we are all humans and every human is capable of anything especially wickedness. The constant attack of south east in nairaland is not normal. Must it always be about the Igbos? Envy is the driving force. Go to Abuja and Lagos especially on Sundays and see the beautiful Igbos and their nice cars going their normal business, but such sight creates resentment. I really wonder what goes in the mind of those creating hateful topics in nairaland everyday? If they are not getting paid for such childish acts, then it should be a normal wicked and hateful behaviour. Some will say they are just joking and no one should take it to heart, that's a big lie. Why can't nairaland be a place where we all can relate with each in a positive manner? |

FacilitatorLekk: We don't need you either. We all can be happy in our various regions as an independent entity. Let this matter rest. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by lawani(m): 10:48am On Jul 18, 2023 |
9japride:The envy is in your mind. Most Igbos are struggling both in Lagos and in the SE. What do Igbos have for people to envy them? and nobody has ever attacked them in Lagos but the ones that feel people don't like them should relocate to other places where people like them. Even if they have which they don't, not every body is moved by material things. On this naira land, what you will find are Igbos creating threads and making statements to cause non existent division among Yorubas far more than Yorubas doing the same thing to Igbos. What you accuse others of is what you are guilty of. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by 9japride(m): 11:10am On Jul 18, 2023 |
lawani: Though, I have already said my own. Nobody should be deceived by statement that the envy and hate is not real. The enemy usually creates a sense of calm then he/she will attack the victim unaware. The present times in this our generation is full of funny characters and politics gives a lot of people opportunities to carry out their personal or group bad intentions towards those they hate. Those people from south east who do create funny topics too, I believe is mostly in response to those attacking them with mischievous posts. For example, a northern will prefer to associate with those from Chad, Niger republic etc rather than a fellow southern Nigerian. Is that nice? Or is it the west that will rather work for the north rather than it's fellow southern brother? Oppression, insincerity and injustice usually create bad blood among people. If we let those greedy politicians from all regions to use the people for the own selfish gains, then no one is to blame. For example, what the south west did by having the president doesn't show good brotherly love. They where once in the seat of the president, it could have been morally right to support the south east especially to have it this time. But due to normal 'chancing' ways of the average man, they can take everything and others can go to hell. That's not how to build a nation. Same thing usually happens in the education institutes regarding SUG elections and also oppression from cultist. They eventually carry such oppressive mindset to the national level. Our society needs serious brain resetting. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by lawani(m): 11:31am On Jul 18, 2023 |
9japride:Problem is who are they going to support among Igbos is the issue and if you check all indices then most successful politician in this 4th republic is Tinubu though I have my own reservations against him but Lagos is the most successful and numbers don't lie and if your state is depending on allocations then you are not a successful governor. Then if you are Yoruba or Hausa can you vote for Peter Obi who is hobnobbing with Nnamdi Kanu given what Nnamdi Kanu broadcasts on his radio Biafra?. If any Igbo politician distinguishes self then the person will be irresistible but no one so far. Then if every group is in charge of their security and economy who cares who is President but if not, you have to watch it carefully. If they want Nigeria to work then free all minorites from oppression, give state on demand, allow state police and let there be a proper federation with states remitting to the center and representation allocated by tax contribution to the center. Any other thing is oppression. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by 9japride(m): 11:45am On Jul 18, 2023 |
lawani: Buhari that try to defend those boko haram people in addition to programmes created for repented BH guys was still respected. What are boko haram really fighting for? The present security challenges in south is just political motivated. An average Igbo man will always prefer to have he's own country. Peter was the better candidate among all other contestants. Though, he's not a saint but he relates well with the common man and he's a business man. Majority of those our politicians eating from government money. Such people can never never make a good leader. Lagos is well positioned in a way that even a dummy will perform well. Everyone should continue with their selfish goals, such acts can never make a country great. Anywhere that has a high percentage of injustice is never always peaceful or progressive. That's just the truth. People still carry grudges of 1966 coup and the war too in their mind, such unsettled matters can negatively affect the peace and unity among the people. We all should all learn to apologize and also forgive one another. I am patiently waiting for the north to criticize Tinubu government. They never made any statement when Buhari was just ruling the country anyhow. No one should listen to them, since the mindset of 'we can take everything and others can go to hell' is what everyone likes. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by lawani(m): 11:57am On Jul 18, 2023 |
9japride:Even this Peter Obi you are talking about was asked on Arise tv by Reuben Abati how he became a billionaire and he was not able to say anything! Can such a man make a good leader? Can such a man rise in any serious society?. The only advantage Lagos have is population and if you have a quarter of Lagos population which many states have and you use your advantage of land which Lagos does not have then you will beat Lagos. After all all foods consumed in Lagos are imported from other states. For me any governor of five million population state that is waiting for allocation can not be the President that will change Nigeria. States have power over income tax and that is all they need to change their state. Kaduna's economy is almost as big as Lagos because they registered 100k WAEC students when Lagos did 140k and the next was around 70k or over. If a governor of Kaduna can't change Kaduna then how can the person inspire others to change Nigeria?. Once again I am not in support of Tinubu for personal reasons but only quota system can put Peter Obi ahead of him. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by 9japride(m): 1:57pm On Jul 18, 2023 |
lawani: Peter Obi comes from a wealthy family. Majority of the traders in Onitsha are very wealthy and you need to travel to their various villages and see the massive buildings they all have. Them no dey depend on government or civil service money. It's unfortunate we missed the opportunity to have someone like Peter Obi. 1999/2000 era of 9ja politics was terrible and now they are all regrouping to come back to government. Is that how a nation can grow? Even if Peter Obi was directly sent from heaven a lot of bigots will never vote for him because of the hatred they have towards south east. Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria, yet they want to choke it with a lot of infrastructure. More people will keep trooping in to Lagos. Kaduna state has more federal government presence than most south eastern states combined due to northern politics. Africa is still the way it is due to funny way of reasoning. How can political leaders be moving comfortable in dusty and archaic looking communities? Don't they travel abroad and see how a modern society should look like. Having a responsible leader goes a long way in changing any society positively. Nigerians should continuing based on tribes and religion. But when it comes to oil money they are friends to those they hate. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by lawani(m): 2:11pm On Jul 18, 2023 |
9japride:If he got seed capital from his family, why not say so on TV or what is the big deal in that?. Trading is competitive and the margin is always very low. Real wealth is made from production and in Onitsha, mass producers of clothes and etc will be among the most well to do and those ones are not doing buying and selling, they are adding value. Traders will see one hundred million with 500k profit inside it while a farmer will see 5 million with 4.7 million profit inside. As Anambra has big markets, the place is not richer than Osun state of a similar population |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by 9japride(m): 4:17pm On Jul 18, 2023 |
lawani: Peter doesn't need to boost, he's a simple man. Just like late Ojukwu he's father was a very wealthy man. Traders are really making money. For example those selling spare parts can never be poor because equipment/engines will always need services. Don't say so, you need to travel to the east and see things for yourself. Nnewi is small China. They produce a lot of things there. Don't joke with those business men, these days most of the traders are graduate. After schooling they take over from their family business. The west can take advantage of Lagos especially Ogun state to become a mega city. But our politicians are not serious. Due to Lagos as former capital and the influence of businesses in Lagos, a lot South westerners became very rich. Majority of people making it big from farming are those who got funds from government illegally through corruption and invested it in large scale farms. Using mechanised system of agriculture. The common man are still doing local farming. The west I believe are making millions codely from agriculture. If we can have a sincere leader that can encourage every zone to be useful, this country will be great. |
| Re: How Ndigbo Can Get Their Country Peacefully by lawani(m): 4:25pm On Jul 18, 2023 |
9japride:Somebody contesting elections should have answered clearly that question posed on air by Reuben Abati. Yes there is a big market in Anambra but I may also be able to list ten multi million dollar industries in Osun that are much larger than what can be found in that sector in Anambra. That is the beauty of specialization. There is money to be made everywhere. |

9japride:What exactly did we miss in not electing Obi as u said? I was transferred to work in Onitsha July 2003 when Ngige was still governor and worked there till 2007 before I left for Enugu. There was nothing spectacular that Obi did. Ngige's roads were more solid than his, Obi did not introduce modern transportation to that state, all through his tenure it's was rickety buses and okada. No agency like LASTMA to control traffic, no Waste Mgt agency like LAWMA, Onitsha remained dirty, no towns that he recaimed from d massive erosion to ravaged d state or any new city he built. He did not introduce a healthcare scheme that was revolutionary, he did not provide pipe borne water, he did not reform tax collection to make Anambra less dependant on FAAC, in fsct between him and Ngige and Obiano, he performed d less in growing IGR. Politically he did not allow govt at d grassroots level, he refused to conduct local govt elections till his final year meaning he confiscated their allocation all through. And in d end he made himself godfather as he railroaded an Obiano who was Executive Director in a bank he had major interest, Fidelity Bank. Without Obi, Obiano would never even contest for house of assembly so Obi was guilty of everything Tinubu was accused of when it comes to godfatherism just that he was not a successful one as Obiano dethroned him in a few years. My question is what was d Anambra template Obi was expected to translate to Nigeria ![]() |
