You that cannot survive or obtain your daily bread without Japa to the SW for survival dey shout referendum and moving back to SE. As much as I hope and pray that all of you vacate the SW and go back to your villages, I know it's impossible because many of you are not stupid enough to hand over your investments, safety and security to some rag tag illiterate ipob terrorists. I mean, do you think the average ibo man or woman living and making his money peacefully in the SW or the North is ready to give all that up just to go and become a sit at home slave with his business burnt and destroyed or even get beheaded. Jokes.. |

Odibembem: What I know presently, Peter Obi has the zeal to effect change in this country. Things have really changed and presently due to much awareness, Peter Obi was willing to make use of the intelligent youths in he's government. He may not have done perfectly well, but he created the foundation for good governance in Anambra. If Anambra state had the kind of money Lagos state had, the state could have developed rapidly. The Obidients people are all hard working guys and not thugs like other political parties supporters that love stomach infrastructure. |

9japride:Anambra has more than one quarter of Lagos population and can make more than one third of Lagos IGR |

lawani: Yes that's true, money can be made from anywhere. For me I envy northern region. Those guys are so blessed. They have a lot of tourism sites like wild life, sandy desert like those found in United Arab Emirates and in addition to solid mineral resources and so on. Though the bad blood among the major tribes in the country is mainly caused by politicians. They are just fighting for survival especially when they all depend on national cake. Outside government, they are empty. |

9japride:Don't envy anywhere because everywhere has advantage. Yoruba have two maize seasons in a year but they have one reducing their land by half as far maize is concerned then cheapest staple which is cassava is produced in the south etc etc |

lawani: I don't think so. Lagos state population is too much. Due to the various facilities in Lagos state a lot of Nigerians are going there steadily. Anambra state has population, but Lagos na baba. In government can connect railway line from major sea ports to eastern region, things will be good. But due to the fear of the progressive nature of the Igbos, bigots who found themselves in power will not let the east to develop. If you check the map of Lagos state, you will pity the state. It's just too tiny to accommodate everyone. We are not even talking of other African countries citizens hustling in Lagos. Eh go choke one day. If the federal government where wise they would have spread infrastructures to other southern states close to the e Atlantic Ocean such as Ondo, Delta, Rivers, Edo etc. That mentality of winner takes it all kind of politics will not help anyone. |

lawani: Though government could have supported each region massively. I heard in those days before oil, cocoa was the main thing then in the west. I the eastern and south region, they have palm oil. I was only referring to the massive untapped wealth in the north. Oil/gas have a lot of people lazy. Other countries are doing fine with oil/gas. |

9japride:Things happen how they are destined to happen. It is not easy to explain what caused the population explosion in Lagos because not the ports as Cotonou is the busiest in West Africa and Cotonou is not up to Ogbomosho in population. However one thing is crowd attracts crowd and once you kick off a city then it will keep growing on auto like a living thing throughout it's life span. With conscious effort and plan you can build a five million population city in Kwara state or Kogi state easily within ten years. One thing that may have caused the situation in Lagos maybe the seriousness of the LASG and their revenue. They have 500k civil servants. If any state have a big spender government they should also be able to attract crowd. |

9japride:West African Produce board was buying cocoa and etc from farmers to sell abroad at a profit then give farmers a predetermined portion of negotiated price and the gain for government was a major source of revenue but there was also a taxable minimum wage and investments by their WNDC that became Oodua group. I don't know their revenue profile but there was head tax, personal income tax, produce board revenue, dividends from WNDC and etc. The population was not more than around ten million |

lawani: OK cool, though the government could have continued with Agricultural products. But the discovery of oil changed everything. In foreign countries, if you see the way they package our agricultural products, you will think the stuff originated from them. The issue with Nigeria is that there is so much financial leakages. |

lawani: Though being former capital help also, but I can't really say what made Lagos so great like that. The state just too tiny. That's what they call small but might. I didn't know Lagos have that amount of civil servants. Anyway, they are capable. The state is just too rich, but I belive a lot money is being wasted too. |

9japride:So your basis of wanting Obi is not that he performed wonders in Anambra? What foundation did he create in Anambra? Before him Ngige had already set the standard in Anambra in just three years. Anambra has Nnewi, Awka and Onitsha and if he was d star u all pretended he was he would had turned these cities to shinning examples and competed with Lagos in revenue generation such that they won't be so dependent on d FAAC allocation. Anambra is about d most erosion ravaged state in Nigeria, tell us if he was able to reciam any part of d state. When u talk about those who set standards in d SE, u talk of Sullivan Chime and Dave Umahi. The basis of choosing a leader is his track record, not lies and propaganda and empty promises; talk is cheap and anyone can promise, what matters is action, what u were able to do. Obi was mediocre, pls, thank God he never became president and he will never be |

Odibembem:What is all this LONG GRAMMAR? Dude, Kanu was offered the 5 Igbo states to go and start his Biafra in 2017 while he was in prison in Abuja, and he rejected the FG offer, saying he must also have Rivers state and Benue state etc. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/237582-i-rejected-offer-biafra-five-igbo-states-nnamdi-kanu.html NOBODY IS STOPPING IGBOS FROM LEAVING NIGERIA. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THEY WANT TO STEAL non-Igbo NIGERIAN TERRITORY, INCLUDING THE OIL AND GAS FIELDS OF THE SOUTH-SOUTH, WHICH THEY CONSIDER AS ''RIGHTFULLY THEIRS''. THE SOUTH-SOUTH PEOPLE WILL BE GENOCIDED BY IGBOS IF THEY EVER JOIN THEM TO FORM A 'BIAFRA'. 'BIAFRA' is resource-grab SCAM THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ''IGBO FREEDOM''. OP, KNOW THIS AND HAVE SENSE! |

9japride:After reflection, I think it is IGR. A government becomes powerful with IGR and power attracts everything. Any state could have done it |

Rossikk:While I agree with u that d Igbos are only grandstanding in demanding Biafra, never u believe d outlandish claims of the fringe lunatic called Nnamdi Kanu. So cos he claimed he was told to go with d 5 SE states, u really believe? Who offered him d 5 states? Who has d power to give Nnamdi Kanu 5 federating states out of Nigeria? That's high treason which even a president dare not commit. Not even d President then (Buhari) or any president has such powers. Nnamdi Kanu granted an interview after taking d white thing he normally takes and then started bragging he was given 5 states and u believe him. No one offered him shishi, it's his usual propaganda to look bigger than he really is before his akamu brain followers |

Odibembem:If Nigeria is not broken up then the only structure that can work and guarantee prosperity for all will be an EU like structure with more nations coming in later and people given states on demand and with states free to merge. Of course such an arrangement will also have a chairman or President |
