Note that your governor and local government chairman takes a cut of this money yet you be blaming only one arm of government for everything. Nigerians are not enlightened they don’t take their time to read if state and local government can feel this kind of pressure maybe they would’ve been a difference but they capitalize on the fact that everyone is focus on the federal . With the amount of money shared no region should be crying marginalization hold your governors and Chairman responsible. 20 Likes 2 Shares |

Ikaeniyan0: Yes, that's the results of removal of subsidy. State governments should assist federal government in providing palliatives to the people. It shouldn't be federal government alone. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Story for the Gods. The value of Naira is less than half what it was previously. So it simply means purchasing power will be reduced. The only advantage is for locally sourced labour and raw materials. Imported items as well as contracts domiciled in dollars will be twice their prices Now. The state Gov should look inwards for development example direct labour for road rehabilitation rather than contracts to the likes of Julius Berger. 2 Likes |

Tareq1105:No. It's more due to naira devaluation. From 489 to 759 is almost double of the naira equivalent of the same dollar payments. The subsidy removal component is not much. Can't be more than 500bn max 3 Likes 1 Share |

Good states will do better on all their employer wages and join their local government to improve infrastructure development. Nigerians need to hold their Governor and LG chairmen to account too. Each state needs to open thread to show us what they are doing with our money. 7 Likes |

Bobloco: Governors that can't be trusted. The governors have even ensured to make sure local govt is non functional and rationing their money for them. The LG chairmen will have to write the governor before they can be allowed to have access to their fund. My question is if we save a lot of money via subsidy, must we spend almost all our savings at a go? 3 Likes |

Too much money for people in government to share/embezzle,why ordinary people are struggling to survive. Same people you are concerned about are the one shouting "Emi lokan" while people in government are busy siphoning our common wealth. We are struggling to buy fuel at ridiculous price #620 to power our small Corolla, where as, people in government, president, governor's and the like are going about in a long convoys as if everything is normal. Same people struggling to survive will still come online to defend them! Is God not wonderful 1 Like 1 Share |

Still the same old thing. Robbing the poor to pay the rich. Small 10k will enter your account and automatically, N50 is taken away, the bank will charge their own and another tax will still apply on the same 10k. 10k becomes 9800 or less and at the end, it is accumulated and given to thieves in the name of president, governors, local govt. chairmen and what have you. #Sad 2 Likes 1 Share |

Bobloco:If you like, let your state Governor loot it.. As for me and a few people, we’ve planned to checkmate our state governor here once the allocation enters.. State palliatives is one of the reasons the allocation is high for each state. Each state Governors is expected to come up with something for his people.. So don’t keep quiet on your state Governor.. 2 Likes 1 Share |

[quote author=Billionaire2 post=124513322]After 8 years of unimaginable suffering you people still cued under the sun to vote for APC ?? because of hatred, tribalism & religion Your bigotry & hatred for Jonathan resulted in Buhari, You never learnt from your mistakes, Buhari’s 1st 4yrs was a total disaster, you still voted him for second tenure Everyone was waiting for February 2023 to kick APC out, suddenly an Ig[/quote You’re exactly what you speak of. What are other states doing ? What did Jona do as governor in Bayelsa ? What about the subsequent Bayelsa governors and other Niger Delta governors can you attribute any meaningful achievement other than blaming the federal government. If federal government squandered their allocation state and local government did justice to theirs suffering won’t be in Nigeria at least the money will circulate but all three arms are responsible and guess what two of those arms are from your state . How much is dollar today...do you care to know? There is no way a USD would exchange for 830 naira and you expect petrol to still sell at 490/500 naira which was the price at which we bought fuel per liter the moment we started to buy usd at 645 naira to 1 dollar at the I and E window. |
